Now, assuming this mask may been used in trials wouldn't negative comments from 'professionals' have delayed the mask being produced or is this just another way to say..."We stick with the bigger manufacturers?"
Beneyw, you might soon find out that this pulmonologist is a big shareholder of Resmed.......It may also explain why Resmed is raising prices (to please these shareholders)

Sales reps will be looking to management to overcome this one when out in the field trying to sell their price controlled product.
Problem is, it's a great product and we found it first.
Still, they have to do something ....and it's not just little Innomed this time, it's Teleflex, a three billion dollar company making their name in Sleep. Teleflex is bigger that the big three combined and they've decided to pal up with some top innovators and stomp into a market that has been jealously protected. If this is any hint of what's to come, Their stomping in with the right products, anyway.

I'll bet Teleflex doesn't mind if we save a few bucks buying over the internet. hmmm.... Welcome Teleflex, your just in time !

This is the lowest price I've found, and I've been looking. Let's hope a price war starts this weekend and it goes down to 160.00 before I order.
I'm not hopeful of the price coming down, at least someone can carry this hybrid in stock. The wait is killing me. I called the ordering number on hybridmask.com, they won't sell to a patient although they told me that the shortage is not because they have nothing on the shelf. Seems like the online retailers didn't pony up the orders early enough, so now we all have to wait to get it.

Hbrid Mask

I just wanted to let you folks know I received my Hybrid today. I messed around for about an hour or so and finally got the hang of it and I hooked it up and it was noisy as Mike had said, and it turned out I chose too small of a nasal pillow. I went to the larger one and that stopped all of the leaks. I am running at 13 and it felt really good and being able to take a breath through my mouth was great! So far I think it is cool, but time will tell and I will keep the forum informed. I will know more tomorrow after I check my data to see if anything improved

GREAT NEWS:

I was told when I ordered my Hybrid that it wouldn't be going out until the new shipment came in on Friday (hopefully), the 7th. I just got an email from cpap.com letting me know it shipped TODAY!!! So those of you who ordered when I did, on June 30th, should very likely be receiving yours soon, too.

I was shocked to get the notification that it went out today. So I guess they either got more in or the delivery they were expecting on the 7th arrived early. Happy 4th of July!!!

I got my pulmonologist to agree to the hybrid...July 10 is the 3rd month (under Medicare so I can get a new mask) BUT the damn DME told me I had to pay for the 'head gear' since Medicare says head gear once every 6 months.

Oh well, a few bucks is worth it since the bulk of the cost will be paid for by insurance unless the DME figures another scheme to get more $$ from me.

It is amazing how some people will downplay a product NOT because they actually have knowledge about it but to the contrary they know nothing about it and want to appear 'brilliant' and on top of things assume the client is naive. That attitude separates the professionals from the phonies.

Keep those positive comments coming...re: the hybrid...hopefully..

Yeah, ain't it the truth. Me, a 1/2 decent night's sleep and an occasional easy commute are the highlights of my life now. Let me know which way you find this event takes you. Mine shipped as well and not too soon since I am having some allergy problems with mold and grass. I start getting anxious as bedtime nears and the congestion persists or gets worse. I've resorted to Afrin too often. I'll be happy to see if the Hybrid solves those congestion problems.

LOL! I know what you mean! I have almost been obsessing about getting to try this mask! The thought of having one mask that fixes the mouth leaks and/or simply serves as a FF mask without all that FF bondage! Honestly, it is better than........!

Snoozing and Inacpapfog,

I am going to try to tone down my enthusiasm. I don't want to expect too much and be disappointed. It's like going to the proverbial "You've gotta see it" movie and then thinking it was okay. Too much build-up can cause disappointment. If it works without leaking and is comfortable to sleep in, then it will be worth the $$$. If not, well, I've already had quite a few offers to take it off my hands.

My feelings are, there will have to be a rash of people who don't like it and there will be some offerings on the site in a month or so to sell some Hybrids. Time will tell. Till then, looking forward to seeing if you guys like yours, too. Good luck!

See what you can learn on this site? Proper positing of your mask is crucial to it's being effective.

And the least they can let you do is take it off your hands yourself first. People can be so pushy!

Sleepless on LI / Beneyw,
You guys are too funny!

Bitfoggy,
That was interesting. I really liked the post from Brian

I have come to the conclusion that the truly evil will spend eternity strapped into FF masks. I am not a mouth breather per se, but I do have ocassional problems with mouth leaks. I mentioned the Hybrid to my RT last week and of course he had never heard of it. I think I am going to finally take the plunge and order on line.
