Re: Sleep Master Wireless XPAP data transfer
I know this thread is a bit old, so I am not sure if this is the right place to post this question....
I have been trying to get my flashcard to work in station mode. It is a Toshiba W-03 16GB
I could not get Sleepmaster to write the config to the SD card. I got a 1702 error. I am running Windows 10. So I switched to Flashpap and manually did the config and got it working in AP mode. I read this thread again and moved SleepMaster to my documents folder, (I had it somewhere else) and ran the setup again. I got the 1702 error again, but it wrote the config. But SleepMaster will not load the profile, nor can I ping the IP address on my network. So I am going back to Flashpap config, but I would like to get Sleep Master working so I can use in station mode. Both the working Flashpap config and non working SleepMaster config are below. When I try to load my profile in SleepMaster, nothing happens.
SleepMaster config: not currently working. I am wondering if the null lines in the config mean part of the config did not get written?

Re: Sleep Master Wireless XPAP data transfer
I can't help but notice that the APPSSID is the same for both AP mode and Station mode configs. Is that really the case or did you edit the value to hide your network name on this board?mdemers800 wrote:I know this thread is a bit old, so I am not sure if this is the right place to post this question....

I would expect you to enter your home router's SSID and Key for the Station mode config not "FlashAir". This is because in Station Mode the FlashAir card acts like a client on your home WiFi network just like your laptop.
I use FlashPAP with my FlashAir in Station Mode so FlashPAP doesn't require AP Mode.
PM me if you want a bit of personal help.

I had trouble getting Sleep Master to work, so I changed over to FlashPap and haven't had any trouble since. I have been using this set up for almost a year with no problems.

You were right, my SSID was incorrect in the sleep master config, not sure what I was thinking... I changed it to my router SSID and made some progress. Now... when using the sleepmaster config in station mode, I can see the Mac address of the FlashAir in my device list, but it is not reporting a IP address with it, so the IP address assignement statement does not appear to be working. I can abandon sleep master and use flashpap, if I get it working in station mode. I am pretty successful with it in AP mode, I just don't like having to change APs on my laptop to get in.
I will PM you.. If you can share what config you are using to get station mode to work, I should be able to just edit my config file.

Re: Sleep Master Wireless XPAP data transfer
A lot of routers won't report an IP address when a client doesn't use DHCP which is what you are doing by setting "DHCP_Enabled=NO" (this is considered manual assignment).mdemers800 wrote:I can see the Mac address of the FlashAir in my device list, but it is not reporting a IP address with it, so the IP address assignement statement does not appear to be working.
Have you tried FlashPAP using the manual address 192.168.1.169? Does that address match your home network? By setting a manual address on the FlashAir device like this you could be assigning an address that is also assigned to another device via DHCP by your router, or worse yet three months from now DHCP assigns that address to a new device. Bad Juju.
I would switch to "DHCP_Enabled=YES" which guarantees you have a valid home network address. Your router should then report the assigned address. Finally, tell your router to fix the address for the FlashAir so you can keep using that address in FlashPAP or Sleep Master.
Later tonight I'll post my CONFIG file which is setup for Station Mode and DHCP.

Re: Sleep Master Wireless XPAP data transfer
In my Flashpap config, I have DHCP on. In the Sleep Master, I have it off and have assigned an IP address (changed it to 192.168.1.175). It is strange as the Flashpap (DHCP) config seems to generate an IP of 192.168.0.1, which is not in my DHCP range of my router which is 192.168.1.2 - 198.168.1.200. But I can get the FlashAir web page to come up when I put in 192.168.0.1 in as a url address and the flashpap AP mode config is working with that IP.lawr1000 wrote:Have you tried FlashPAP using the manual address 192.168.1.169? My router has a "static DHCP" list, where I can associate a Mac Addresses, a Static IP address and a text name. I do that for most of my permanent devices on my network, so I can always see what is online by name, without having DHCP values changing all the time. Guest devices come on the network with DHCP addresses. So I did assign the FlashAir as a static DHCP address associated with the Flashair Mac address in the sleep master config. Still, it does not show up with that IP address in my device list.
This is all moot. If you can show me a working station mode config of flashpap, I will just clone it and forget the rest.
Re: Sleep Master Wireless XPAP data transfer
Sorry I looked at the wrong CONFIG file. Your FlashPAP config file is missing the "[WLANSD]" section and that is where the "DHCP_Enabled=YES" should be. When you say the FlashAir had the address of 192.168.0.1 was that when your computer connected to your home WiFi network or the FlashAir's Access Point WiFi network? These are two different networks and could have different address ranges.mdemers800 wrote:In my Flashpap config, I have DHCP on. For reference here is the FlashAir Developer's website documenting the CONFIG file

Here is my Station CONFIG file. Just tested it with FlashPAP and Chrome. It pulls an address of 192.168.1.238 from my DHCP server.

Re: Sleep Master Wireless XPAP data transfer
thanks, that was it, I did not realize I needed two section header lines. I added it, and added the flashair to my static IP list and everything is working fine in station mode....lawr1000 wrote:Your FlashPAP config file is missing the "[WLANSD]" section and that is where the "DHCP_Enabled=YES" should be.
thanks so much, you saved me a lot of time, I never would have figured it out without your comment. When I looked at the sample config on the dev site, I just thought the [WLANSD] was a comment or something, not a required config line item.

Re: Sleep Master Wireless XPAP data transfer
Well, I purchased a Toshiba FlashAir card, and this has been the most frustrating thing to try to set this up. Are there any clear instructions anywhere on how to load or install this?

Re: Sleep Master Wireless XPAP data transfer
I use a desktop computer in my study that is wired by an ethernet cable to my wireless router on the desk. I have a Flashair card to put in my Airsense. Would this set up work to import data from my Airsense10 auto?Krelvin wrote: ↑Fri Jan 16, 2015 1:54 pmYou will need to purchase a Toshiba FlashAir WiFi SDCard that is supported.Islandwoman wrote:Can you please explain how this works? A modem of some sort? From machine to computer I expect. Does it work with Sleepyhead? Brief but I am getting over pneumonia(I hope).
The workstation that has sleepyhead on it, needs to have WiFi support or if using Station Mode, a connection to the Access Point that has WiFi.
When configured, you will run Sleep Master:
- Will connect to the SDCard using WiFi
- Will obtain what files have changed since last process
- Will copy those files to your workstation.
After that is complete, you use SleepyHead to import those files in just like you do now with an SDcard, but now you will point to the folder/directory that contains the new downloaded files (typically something like C:\Resmed depending on your machine type)
The entire process takes less than 30 seconds typically and you never have to take the SDCard out of the Xpap again to get new data.
Thank you

I use Sleep Master (v6.0.0.3p) to facilitate the transfer from my AirSense 10 to my computer.jhuckabyjr wrote: ↑Tue Jan 08, 2019 7:06 pmWell, I purchased a Toshiba FlashAir card, and this has been the most frustrating thing to try to set this up. My Sleep Master config:
Access Mode: Station
Noise Cancel: Enabled
DHCP client: Disabled. I prefer statically assigned addresses, but if your not comfortable than Enabled should work
WebDav: I have set to R/W, most are probably better off setting to disabled
IP address: Set to valid IP address if statically assigned.
Station Mode SSID: Set to your Router SSID (it's WiFi Broadcast name)
Station Password: Your WiFi password
Ensure your FlashAir card has a day of data to test. I found it easier to test while SD Card was within my computer instead of AirSense.
Yes, provided your Airsense is pretty close to your WiFi router.I use a desktop computer in my study that is wired by an ethernet cable to my wireless router on the desk. I have a Flashair card to put in my Airsense. Would this set up work to import data from my Airsense10 auto?

The FlashAir Wifi strength is understandably weak and needs to be a lot closer than typical WiFi devices. Mines about 30 feet and the weakened signal strength makes the data transfer speed slow.

Well, after several tries, this way and that way, nothing works, so the FlashAir card was a bust. Will return it for a refund. Would have been nice if I had gotten it to work.
