Thanks for the reply. I'm using a heated hose so that there cannot be a non electrical connective device between the hose and the humidifier. I will look further and see if Respironics makes a suitable device that can accomodate the heated hose. BTW, all of the adapters I have seen so far that go on the humidifier end, disable the autostart functionality because they seem to be a one way valve type device

Some masks have O2 ports built in. Check with your doctor of the possibility of your going on O2 during the day. If the answer is yes, then renting is the way to go. They will provide all supplies and supplemental O2. The supplemental O2 can be helpful during a power outage. You can use battery power for the XPAP, but the O2 concentrator is a different story.
