Thanks, everyone, for your help! I'll keep an eye on the centrals. Is there some kind of rule of thumb as to how many or how long they last before you have to worry about them?
A lot more than you are having AND need to be seen consistently instead of randomly.
Doctors won't bat an eye until someone has around 5 per hour average centrals consistently.
A random bad night or dense cluster isn't a big deal.
I once had 17 centrals in 17 minutes. Looked like I was asleep to but maybe I wasn't. Anyway it never happened again so I shrugged my shoulders and moved on.
Duration...again it depends if random lone event or clustered with a bunch of other centrals.
Have one 30 second central all by itself within a 3 hour stretch...no big deal.
Have 5 30 second centrals with 5 minutes...different story.
I would bet my last dollar that the bulk of any of your centrals barely make it to the 10 second mark to earn a flag. Hold your breath for 10 seconds...no big deal and no distress...that's what a 10 second central is.
It would take a lot of them back to back over many minutes for it to impact oxygen levels or whatever.
Random anything really isn't a big deal. It's when we get all those little buggers grouped together that they can cause arousals or problems.....this pertains to any flagged event category and isn't limited to central category.
Remember...it's entirely normal for everyone to have a handful of centrals here and there...real asleep centrals...it's normal and no big deal and certainly no need to panic or worry. Even people without OSA or CSA diagnosis will have a few here or there.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
