Alaxo Stent
Just noticed a thread on another forum for the Alaxo Stent. I was wondering what others thought about it and does anyone have any experience with it. I think I would be willing to give it a try if I had the chance.
Re: Alaxo Stent
What is the forum link did you see it on?
All I see is marketing links which typically is not a good sign.

If you are having problems or difficulties with your cpap therapy, people here might be able to help. For many of us, we have adjusted to the point where we consider the cpap machine our friend and look forward to using every night. Yes, I'm serious.

Re: Alaxo Stent
Thanks for the advice and yes I am using CPAP and it seems to be working. But I rarely get more than 4 or 5 hours sleep out of the 7 to 8 hours I am wearing the mask. Leaks are only a small problem now and I can tolerate them. Its the pressure changes and the noise mostly that keep me awake. I am using the Fitlife and my Resmed S9 Auto is set at 7cm lowest to 20cm highest. It was initially 4cm > 20cm when I recieved the machine and I changed the lower pressure myself. The sleep clinic have been of limited help to be honest. I am in th UK so it was done through the NHS.yaconsult wrote:viewtopic.php?f=1&t=59947&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=stent

Great! This is something we can work with. Please start a new thread so that this won't be discussed under the stent thread. Describe your issues in the subject of your new thread. I am sure you can get some good advice and help here. Welcome!skullduggery wrote:Thanks for the advice and yes I am using CPAP and it seems to be working. CPAP is the only proven, effective, non-invasive therapy for sleep apnea. The only other option guaranteed to work is a tracheotomy and that has many other serious complications.

You should create a separate link for this and there are several that can help. I would clamp down the range some so it is not so wide apart. Using Sleephead will help to unless you have an S9 Escape auto which provides only limited data.skullduggery wrote:... You should put your equipment in your profile so it is easy to find. Resmed S9 Auto is not really a description for a specific machine.
