Alaxo Stent???

I saw this mentioned in another thread.

It's a stent you put into your nose, and it expands out in your throat and nose.

It looks like it doesn't extend down far enough to keep the tongue from falling back.

I find it hard to believe it wouldn't be terribly uncomfortable, but they seem to suggest it's no more uncomfortable or difficult than putting in contact lenses. f

There's a fair amount of "ick" factor in this. Also the though of a wire breaking and not being able to remove it sounds scary.

It's a very interesting idea, though.

Did you watch the video. It doesn't look too bad. If has splints removed from my nose it felt very strange but if the stent works enough to allow me to lower my pressures I think I can train myself to use them

This is totally random, but I think "Alaxo Stent" would make a great name for a James Bond villain.
