Sleepyhead Software for dummies (I mean Newbies)

Post by Tripacer » Mon Feb 09, 2015 11:15 am

So I have read a lot on this forum about software such as Sleepyhead. My question is, how does it work? Once I download it to my Mac (Preference-can I use it with a Mac?)

Do I then take out my SD card on my machine to get the data? Will it work with my machine? What sort of data can I get from this software?

Thanks in advance

You can find lots of answers here. This site is by one of our members Krelvin, and contains lots of information. https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepyhead

I've looked at mine with sleephead and have gotten the charts out of whack. How does one get back to the original settings showing the graphs like sound bytes?

Not clear what you have messed up without seeing but you can reset the graph settings with

Evidently that wasn't it. I may have to delete the program and reload it. The reset did nothing. When first loaded all fields showed like sound waves and now nothing. Of course I've only used it about a week now.

Nothing as in there is bob the sheep on the center of a blank page? If that is the case, it doesn't see detail data for that day.

If something, perhaps a pic will give a clue as to what you are seeing.

Where do you add a photo? Don't you have to save online somewhere and add the url?

Take a screen shot:
https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepy ... screenshot

Upload it to imgur and post the url it gives you:
https://sleep.tnet.com/reference/tips/imgur

You end up with a screen shot...

It is showing results in the overview. Click on the Daily tab at the top and see if that is what you are looking for.

Yes, I believe that's getting back to what I was looking for. Now, I suppose I need to make these screenshots smaller.

Should be an easier way than reducing the size. Yours you can click on it and it gets larger. So, how do you post smaller? I suppose, use the markdown link.

You got close.. the code I used (using your image):

Code: Select all

Select Large image first, then the link where shown. Paste that link.

Ends up..

In any case, the image you posted is normal looking. the first you posted is a summary which is not what is normally being looked for. you get detail with the daily and you can see what is happening throughout the night.

Now shift your page up so you are at the top of the page, and you should see the AHI in orange on the left, and the top of the charts on the right.

OK, will try it again.

What I had done previously was reduce the size of the jpg in photoshop. It was about 1900 and I reduced it to about 800 to make it smaller. That's why I said there had to be an easier way. I guess I did not see the thumbnail sizing.
