I'm not saying I have Restless Leg, but I think I now have a better idea of what it might feel like, and it isn't fun.
I injured my right leg last week when I fell off a stepladder. I'm surprised and grateful that I didn't break the bone. My leg is very colorful at this point, nine days later. You can see some of the bruising starting to show in this pic. It wasn't as bad as it sounds - little pain, little blood, but a big open wound and a trip to the ER to get 27 stitches.

Anyway, my leg has been twinging and very itchy for the past couple of days (which I know is a good sign of healing), but it wouldn't stop twitching the other night; kept me awake for over two hours. I kept shaking my leg to try to calm the twitches, but it didn't help. Took pain medication and also got out of bed several times to try to walk it off, but neither of those helped, either. It was annoying as hell and very frustrating. I was *so* glad to finally be able to fall asleep...
I'm sure it's not the same as RLS, but it's as close as I've come to what I think it's like. Those who suffer from it have my deepest sympathies.
Last year was a difficult one for me, medically. I vowed that 2014 would be different, but I didn't even make it out of January unscathed. I get my stitches removed tomorrow (yay!).
Hope everyone here is doing well.
