Thank you Goodmans

Post by 49er » Fri Sep 13, 2013 6:29 am

After seeing another poster on the other board get chastised for advocating self treatment, it made me realize that we also need to understand that if it weren't for the Goodmans providing an unmoderated board, people like Pugsy wouldn't have been in a position to offer as much help as she has. I mean she still would have found a way through back channels but there definitely wouldn't have been 20,000 posts on the board.

Anyway, a big thank you to the Goodmans for providing this unmoderated board so that as many people as possible can receive help in adjust to pap therapy and don't have to depend on a medical community that many people would agree is falling short big time.

Hey Goodman Family: Keep on rockin' in the free world. May your business thrive. And please keep all us members rockin' with your excellent CPAPtalk support and sponsorship.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

And it's great they let topics continue even when they go far afield in Off Topic discussions. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the old 80/20 rule applies, 80% are happy with the way it's run and 20% aren't. And probably about 20% of the members do 80% of the postings. And then there's the champion 0.0015% of members who's responsible for 2.5% of all posts, Pugsy!

The help and support I've received here goes well beyond my PAP therapy. After Kenwood posted last week about his thyroid issues and upcoming surgery, I recognized in his story something that I'd been feeling so I went to my doctor last Friday. I had a thyroid ultrasound the next day and today I learned they found a nodule. I plan to thank Kenwood in a PM for sharing his story in case he doesn't happen to see this, and I also want to thank the Goodmans for making it possible for us create such a unique, helpful and caring community.

I'd still be a foggy mess if it wasn't for the community spirit around here, that has thrived because of what the Goodman family have put into this... giving us this wonderful welcoming place to come together.

Thanks for allowing us the freedom to discuss what we have been able to discuss, when there are those in the medical fraternities that look down on us being able to do so.

Thanks especially for letting the nerds among us get way off topic sometimes.. A lot of cool discoveries have been made by collaborating together on this forum

I'm also grateful for the space and culture here. I've visited other boards and they didn't seem as vibrant or helpful.
