MyEncore only shows the last 6 days - WHY ???
MyEncore only shows the last 6 days - WHY ???
I have just finished installing Encore Pro and MyEncore.
I downloaded the data from the Smart Card.
I have been using the RemStar Auto for 17 days now, since May 22nd.
But when I pull up info on MyEncore it only shows the last 6 days, from June 1st to the 6th. WHY ??? Where is my data for the earlier week and one half?
Any Ideas ?
Thanks, Tim

That's all of the detailed data that the card will hold before it starts writing over the oldest data.

Den,
Thanks for the info.
But "SOME" of the info I see reported in the other program "Encore Pro" goes back to May 19th, such as the Compliance Data, patterns of use and
Sleep Therapy Long Term Trend.
It's the Daily Details that don't go back as far.
Does it save Compliance data for a longer time ?
Do you know if the 6 days of detailed Therapy data is a Smart Card threshold or the software ?
Thanks again.
Tim

Tim,
Den is correct about the card saving only a weeks worth of "detailed data". Those results are kept with a 30-second resolution, which makes for a lot of data. After 7 days the data "wraps", keeping only the last 7 days.
HOWEVER.... it also saves up to 6 months worth of summary data, not just "minutes used", but several other totals, minimums, maximums, etc., and from that a number of other averages can be calculated. Notice the EncorePro reports that appear to be somewhat "detailed" (page 4), the pressure min/max/90%, leak min/max/90%, and several indexes, those are all based on daily summary data, far less storage requirement for the card. The resolution for that is 24hr.
The 7-day data wrap phenomenon is why one should not wait more than 7 days to read the card. Otherwise the detailed data will be lost. It's ok to read it more frequently, no harm done, it won't create duplicate entries in the SQL database, it sorts it out perfectly.

Ric,
Thanks for that detailed explaination. I was mistakenly under the initial impression that ALL data was saved fro 6 months.
So I did not download the card till now.... unfortunately, that means I have "lost" a week and one-half of detailed data that I would have liked to have seen.
Oh well... it's a learning process....

oh.... and another thing....
I should have mentioned that you should not erase the card after it reads the data. That will reset SOME of the things that get reported and displayed, but not all. (some stuff is still in the SQL database, and MyEncore will see it, but EncorePro will ignore some of it's own data, at least that is my interpretation after experimentally erasing the data just to see what would happen).
If the program does not ask whether you want to "ERASE THE DATA" from the card, then the default is that it will AUTOMATICALLY ERASE THE DATA without asking! To prevent that you need to execute a .reg script which you will find under the Program Files -> Respironics -> Utilities directory called:
Don't erase data after download.reg
double-click that one time to update the default registry setting, then the "ERASE DATA" prompt should appear after reading the card. Just say "NO" to erasing the card.

To be save use 5 days, that leaves you wiggle room lest you forget. I would never go past 6 days as Den said. Even I lost a day last week, sometimes Life interfeers with what we need to get done. Jim

Thanks everyone.... I'll take the suggestion and download the data off the card every 4-5 days to be safe.
I did set the default to "NOT Erase the Data after download" and it DOES prompt me to chose to delete the data or not, so I know that I have that part set up correctly.
How hard is it to copy the data in the database to move to to another computer in order to view it? I am downloading at home, but want to look at the data at work when I have a chance.
Which "Files" hold the data and what location can I find them in ?
Thanks, Tim

That would be a lot of work, in my opinion. If you want to look at the data at work, just save your Encore Pro report to a .pdf file and then e-mail it to your work e-mail.
