So just how horrible are they?

Carolyn or whoever watches over the sales website ... Why does the FX page not show that ins is available (actually says no returns...), but if you go to options, it shows up?
When I bought my Mirage Quattro it states right on the main page ins is available ...
As an FYI, I have noticed on the masks I was considering that initially, it will say that insurance is not available until you indicate you want to purchase it. Something to look into?

Totally agree that this should be done.

What we have learned is that cpap.com is as good as or better than we all tried to tell you they were; and that you are an arrogant jerk.

But NateS, you leave me wondering what you really think?!? ..

Yeah, Nate, what do you mean by that?

Carolyn, I appreciate the way you handled fishy's complaint. You were the better person and I'm glad I do business with such an honorable company.

Even more fun would trying to return slightly used mask parts...though the OP did have a receipt stating the parts had insurance, in error.
I really like the Swift FX, but I'm now using the Tap Pap.

I've done both, returned new and used without a problem. When I first got setup the guy even came to the house and let me switch masks until it was acceptable.
Don't know how unusual that is. Also I had insurance then, and now im on my own so no more house calls I think.

I only regret that Medicare does not have Cpap.com "in-network", (for my self, of course),
but especially for all of us lucky enough to have cpap extend our lives into that age group.

I just wanted to clear the air. I know a person on this forum who goes by "Palm" on another forum. This is the response I gave Palm to a PM when an inquiry was made as to why I was acting like such an a$$. Palm, I hope you do not mind my sharing my PM response:
"Listen Palm, these people do not know what I went through. I called up and at first was told it was my fault. I called back and showed them the invoice which had return insurance on it as well as sending me a website with a return label. They told me they would bring it up with their manager (it was a Friday). On Monday I was told they would not refund my money but would give me store credit (like I want to buy from them again after they screwed up my first order!) BUT I would have to pay for the shipping.
Like Carylon said, it was their mistake and they didn't follow through until I made a stink about it. I didn't realize at first that this website is basically a forum from their company...I thought I would get a sympathetic ear. Instead I got flamed.
I went through all the proper channels and did not receive a fair resolution, so I caused a stink on their forum. Only after the e-mails started flying did they call me and admit their mistake and make things right. I believe they did it to save face because they were wrong and knew it.
So if I came off sounding like an a$$...so be it. I don't know these people and they do not know the full story of what I went through. I would post it, but they would distort it and make me look like the bad guy.
Bottom line is when a company treats me wrong, I do (and did in this case) call and try to make things right. When the company fails then I decide whether to take it on the chin or fight. In this case I chose to fight and got the results I deserved. All those others can flame me all they want. You know me and I wouldn't be like this unless I know I am in the right.
Sorry that it had to come to this. It could have been easily avoided if cpap.com had come forward when we spoke the first few times over the phone and made things right.
Well, I won't be posting on here again...so I'll see you maybe on another forum. Hope you are doing well.
Fishy "
So I'm sorry I used you guys to stir up a ruckus. But it was necessary to get a "fair shake" in my case. I did call them twice with no resolution. I truly did not know this cite was affiliated with cpap.com...but the fact that your responses caused such an uproar actually helped me get the resolution I deserved. So I am sorry to have touched a nerve and thank you for your caustic responses. They really helped.

It is clear Cpap.com csr made a mistake. That problem has been solved. If I were Fishy, I would be more concerned with my Dr.'s office mistake. Getting an Rx faxed or emailed is as simple an office worker task as there is. I hope you speak to your Dr. to get an appropriate apology.

No distortion was necessary, you've done that to yourself, yet again, in an exemplary manner!

So, which is it? You caused a stink on their forum, or you truly did not know this cite (sic) was affiliated with cpap.com? Beginning to see why you got the responses you did? Your story has consistency problems.

You used people. You called us liars and you are upset we objected.
And now we get a half assed apology. In fact I am not sure it is an apology.
I don't like your way of doing business and I can only cheer that you are leaving.

Good-bye, fishy.
Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.
