ResMed Swift FX NANO?

Post by iggyb » Sun May 19, 2013 8:16 am

Hi Everyone!
Just wondered if anyone has heard of, Seen or tried the ResMed Swift FX NANO? I have tried the Swift FX with the nasal pillows and quite liked it, although after a week, my nostrils were sore. I have chosen to stick to a nasal mask, and this one seems quite promising? At the moment I am trying the Mirage FX and the Eson, but find that I get alot of leaks around 5am... possibly because my face gets oily or I am too hot. But I digress, so any thoughts about the Swift FX Nano?

I'm actually looking for a new mask, thanks for posting this, it also looks promising to me. I think this Nano mask can also use the bella loops! So the Nano mask just fits over your nose? No nasal pillows?

Yes I also get those same leaks around that time. I ever wash my nose and upper lip with soap AND I wash the nasal pillows everyday. At first, they feel good and like it is glued on. After a couple of hours I notice that they shift around causing leaks. A real bummer

--with Bella loops, too?
sounds like my labrat that didn't work the other day, maybe I'll plug it into my regular head gear.
(hops off into bedroom)
Edit: The angle is a bit off; not so much when the cut-up pillow is inverted,
but still not as stable as the Wisp headgear. I can only do so much--maybe ResMed has done the rest!
I may try this when it comes to our favorite retailer.

Yes, looks like ResMed's answer to the Wisp. Doesn't seem to be in US yet.

It has the ball-joint feature that I really liked in the Aloha nasal pillow mask.

This one looks like a winner! Looks super comfy!

Hopefully coming to the US very soon.

I wonder if it will handle movement/side/stomach sleeping ok.

I was having the same issue (sore nose) when I first started using the Swift FX. I finally figured out that I was using the wrong size pillows & I had the headgear tightened too much.

Hi,

Ive just joined your forum, I live in Aus & have just started a CPAP trial.

The unit I hired is a Resmed S9 Auto-set, which came with a Resmed Swift FX Nano for her. I have nothing else to compare it to, & apparently Im the first person the company has hired one to! It's much more comfortable than I imagined a CPAP mask could be, though I am having trouble with the small mid-section of my nose getting sore & reddened (the bit between the nostrils.

When I sleep on my left side I sometimes can't even feel the mask! When I sleep on my right though its less comfortable. Ive left the settings as the tech put them, but after googling Im going to try the fitting recommendations of Jeffy & try to fit it without the soreness. According to the machine's stats, there arent any leaks, & my AHI is down from 9.4 to 0.2,. I feel much better, though I am having trouble getting to sleep with CPAP so am hoping to get on top of it to feel much, much better!

Hopefully I'll be getting the same setup when I purchase. Without any other CPAP experience to compare the Nano to, I think it's pretty good!

Thank you. I'm lazy sometimes.

Looks very nice except for the wonky headgear. The ball joint is golden; wish my Wisp had that.

The headgear appears to be virtually identical to that of the Swift FX.
