Thanks this is good news -- it will be far easier and cheaper to try by just swapping the new nasal cushion into the existing fx headgear. Hopefully will soon be in U.S.iggyb wrote:Hi All,
Just wanted to update the NANO thread. So The other day my supplier called and told me they had a Swift Fx NANO put aside for me to try. I was previously trying the Eson, and the Swift Fx. (In my area we have a trial period, before being put on you "own" machine and mask). I liked both masks, and was anxious to try the NANO.
It's been three nights, and so far I LOVE IT!!! I find it light and comfortable to wear. Minimal leaks (mostly at the bridge of my nose) but those are easily fixed. And it comes with the headgear cheek pads! It has an interesting sort of hinge type swivel where the hose joins the nose piece. It's hard to explain, but where the hose goes into the nose piece, that area is able to sort of collapse depending on your movements. The hose also has incredible range of movement.
As far as I can tell, the Swift Fx headgear will fit the NANO nose piece. The only difference might be the hose. I'm pretty sure that would be interchangeable as well. Because when I picked up the Swift FX to try, they had to put the NANO hose with it. Now, I'm not 100% sure, but that would be something to look into further, if you wanted too.
I highly recommenced this mask!!!
Just sucks that I can only choose machines they offer... and none of them have full reporting other than usage. But hey, it's free. (Government Health Care subsidized)

The Nano hose it the thing that interests some of us the most. As I love the Aloha's ball joint swivel, but prefer the Swift FX pillow, But if the Nano and FX hoses are interchangeable so the Swift FX pillow fits on the Nano's ball joint hose....I'd buy a Nano just to swap out the hose for my FX

Re: ResMed Swift FX NANO?
I really liked the Aloha's ball swivel; but just couldn't get the nasal pillows to feel right/fit well.
Of course, when I get a new mask, every part gets tried out for cross-compatibility with other masks.
Of course, there was none, and I returned the Aloha.

Re: ResMed Swift FX NANO?
I live in Sweden and ordered one of these from resmed Sweden. Its great. Best mask I have had, although with technological advancements each one has been better than the last. My APHs have gone from between 4 and 5 to less than 2.5. It is so quiet and the lack of solid plastic is a real bonus for me as I have got through a few by breaking plastic fixings. Its also great I can watch TV with it on!
Highly recommended. Time will see if it is durable.

Re: ResMed Swift FX NANO?
I've been using the Nano for the last couple of days. Very comfortable but I can't seem to stop the leaks around the bridge of my nose, the air keeps blowing in my eyes; especially when I sleep on my side! Always adjusting and not getting a quality sleep. It seems like the weight of the hose is pulling the top of the mask away from my nose. Also the exhaust air port really blows a lot of air; my wife can feel the cold air blowing on her. I also have the F&P Eson which I really like and will be switching back for tonight's sleep. The hose connector has a nicer balljoint and it also has a snap on baffle that clips over the exhaust port; you can hardly feel any air coming out.
Might exchange the Nano and try the Wisp and see how that works out.

Re: ResMed Swift FX NANO?
You might want to try fastening the short hose to your collar to minimize it pulling on your new NANO mask. Let us know how that works for you. Good luck. the new nose cushion sounds interesting.

Re: ResMed Swift FX NANO?
I am a relatively new CPAP patient (since mid-August this year) and I originally received the Mirage with my first setup and fitting. I liked it well enough except the Mirage rubbed the upper bridge of my nose which was annoying. I like the nasal mask concept but I don't like extensive headgear, so my provider switched me to the FX to try. I've been using the FX now for about a month and it works well enough, but I still like the nasal mask concept better than the pillows. I found out about the Nano on this thread and thought I would give it a try, so I found a supplier online and ordered just the Nano replacement cushion with the thinking, as many of you have noted, that the Nano and FX headgear and hose are interchangeable so I should be able to harvest them from my FX to give the Nano a try.
The Nano cushion arrived today and I'm happy to report that in fact both the FX headgear and hose fit the Nano cushion just fine. I tried out the Nano using my FX headgear and hose for a little nap this afternoon and everything worked great. No leaks, no rub marks, restful sleep.
In doing a bit more research it seems the Nano and FX headgear really are identical with the exception of the back strap - the Nano's back strap is just a hair shorter than the back strap of the FX. The Nano hose is different than the FX hose, though. The Nano hose does have a ball joint at the connection point at the cushion.
As a newbie to the CPAP world it's been a bit overwhelming at all the options, and the costs associated with trial and error with masks and supplies. Thanks to folks on this forum and others for your insights which have been helpful to me as I start out on this journey to get some good, restful sleep.

Re: ResMed Swift FX NANO?
HI, JUST RECEIVED THE RESMED NANO MASK, IT IS FANTASTIC, SMALL VERY BENDABLE SINCE I TURN A LOT WHEN SLEEPING, NOT TO HOT AND FITS VERY WELL WITH SWIFT STRAPS. GREAT PRODUCT SOO GLAD TO HAVE FOUND THIS ONE, THE BEST!
Did NOT like the Swift Nano
iggyb wrote:Hi Everyone!
Just wondered if anyone has heard of, Seen or tried the ResMed Swift FX NANO? I have tried the Swift FX with the nasal pillows and quite liked it, although after a week, my nostrils were sore. I have chosen to stick to a nasal mask, and this one seems quite promising? At the moment I am trying the Mirage FX and the Eson, but find that I get alot of leaks around 5am... possibly because my face gets oily or I am too hot. But I digress, so any thoughts about the Swift FX Nano?
I did NOT like the Swift Nano for many reasons. It has only a few advantages but many disadvantages. Will post a brief summary soon.
