My Husbands Cpap Adventure
Re: My Husbands Cpap Adventure
You may consider a reward for the full night ... a special meal, extra snuggles, etc.
Us big babies fall for that stuff pretty easy.
You might even tell him he is much more handsome when he doesn't look as tired, and follow in with a big kiss.

Food.... always food.... I seen grown men lose their mind, dignity and any self respect over food.pootsie wrote:You may consider a reward for the full night ... a special meal, extra snuggles, etc.

Re: My Husbands Cpap Adventure
When we were first married my husband just about drove me nuts with his eating habits. He was the pickiest eater I had ever seen. Most everyone considers me a good cook. He said when he was a child he had to eat whatever was put on the table and he swore when he was grown he would never eat a thing he didn't like. I made him taste things I cooked and not force him to have to eat anything he didn't want. It took years for him to start eating like an adult. Now he loves salads. I never thought I would ever get that far with his eating habits. Before if it wasn't fried he wouldn't eat it. Now fried food is a treat. Maybe I should fry him something.Sheriff Buford wrote:Food.... always food.... I traded machines with him so tonight he will use mine instead of his own. It will be easier for me to track and sneak up his pressure. I think my machine is easier to adjust because I can just make the changes on the card and he will never be the wiser. Pugsy said I could do that with his machine too but I never figured it out.
Poor Hubby takes such good care of me and then can't do squat taking care of himself. Go figure!

Picture didn't work for me in your posting, so I went to the message source and got the picture URL out of it and brought it up directly.

Can you help me figure out how to properly post that? I just can't figure it out on my own.RogerSC wrote:Picture didn't work for me in your posting, so I went to the message source and got the picture URL out of it and brought it up directly.

You know, you could always try "gaslighting" him.
Make a big deal in front of him about adjusting the pressure downward and turn it down a notch while he's watching, then turn it up two while his back is turned.
Then ask him how he likes it at the lower pressure

Sneaky, sneaky! He looks like a nice guy. Go edit your post and take the "IMG" out of the link. That is what is messing it up. It wouldn't open for me and I didn't notice that at first, but I right-clicked on it and tried to open in a new tab. Still wouldn't open. That's when I saw the "IMG". Took that out of the address bar and there he was!

I fixed it so everyone could see what the big baby looks like. He looks so sweet and normal. Him and the dog both are even more grey now. The dog Gidget is about 16 now.SleepingBetty wrote:Sneaky, sneaky! He looks like a nice guy. Go edit your post and take the "IMG" out of the link. That is what is messing it up. The silly man thought he was going to sleep without his mask on tonight. Said he was afraid it might storm and he would sleep through it.

Re: My Husbands Cpap Adventure
Hubby did really well last night considering the electric went off for a while. I checked his data and it looked really good. I am so happy for him. The bad news. I was so concerned with getting his setting just right I forgot to change the settings on his machine for me. I realized the mistake when I went to bed but didn't want to wake him up to change the settings. I woke up with a horrible headache and have felt like crap all day. My data from last night looked as ugly as his normally does. Oh silly me. Does this mean I have to stop making fun of him? I hope not. What is your opinion?

Re: My Husbands Cpap Adventure
Thank you Pootsie. I talked to a man today that said he had had a cpap machine for 2 years and only used it less than one minute. He said he couldn't stand the high pressure. I told him that I could help him get used to it a little at a time. He wasn't interested at all. I am glad he doesn't drive a car. It is just a shame.
