I would appreciate assistance on this one.
When in the clinical menu my S9 VPAP's SmartStart option is greyed out and does not appear to be changeable.
I changed the mask type selection from full face to nasal and the option still is greyed out in the clinical menu and still can not be selected.
Is there any other setting anyone knows of that would disable the ability to turn on SmartStart options from the clinical menu?
Thanks,
Michael

Re: S9 VPAP SmartStart Unavailable
You are able to change other settings? If so, I don't know. If not, maybe you've been locked out of changing things in the clinician's menu.

Re: S9 VPAP SmartStart Unavailable
Go into the clinical menu and turn Leak Alert off and see if that will give you access to Smart Start choices.

I am pretty sure it was turning off the Leak Alert.NateS wrote:You don't want to tell us how you solved it?
On my S9 VPAP if the Leak alert is On I can't access Smart Start.
We can't have both functions available at the same time.
I think this is specific to the VPAPs...I don't think leak alert is available on the Elite/Autoset models but I have never seen one so I don't know for sure.
Also I didn't find it in the provider manual but I may have overlooked it.
I found it simply by turning Leak Alert off...when I did my Smart Start (which is right below leak alert) turned gray.
I figured something was a trigger and just played with stuff till I figured out which was the trigger.

Pugsy on Sun Apr 21, 2013 7:03 pm suggested "Go into the clinical menu and turn Leak Alert off and see if that will give you access to Smart Start choices."
I did that and the problem was solved.
When I wrote problem solved it was due to following Pugsy's advice: "Go into the clinical menu and turn Leak Alert off and see if that will give you access to Smart Start choices."
