I don't see where any of these people were mean.

As i wrote, i wasn't here for it and it's impossible to follow the thread now since so much of it is deleted but obviously something bothered cosmo - maybe it was a different thread. But based on past postings I've seen quite a few cheap shots thrown at cosmo while i've never seen cosmo start anything. He seems like a really nice guy who is always trying to help out any newbie with a problem.

If you read this thread viewtopic/t88315/Whelp-I-learned-my-Cle ... esson.html it was a dispute between Cosmo and fdrn over Cosmo helping him and he wanted the rest of us to stop helping him. fdrn deleted his post's but you can get the drift of what went on.

maybe it's just me, but i can't follow it at all - i see fdrn mention that a clean mask seals better than a not so clean one. I don't see cosmo's reply and then i see something from cosmo asking people not to reply. But whatever it is, I wish that that Cosmo would reconsider.

Well it's all water over the dam now and if he wants to come back he will. Give him time to sooth his ruffled feathers and I hope he comes back, I do read his post and there is some good information in them.

Very recently he said something about people here being old, or older, or something like that. Don't remember where it was but it was recent. Maybe he decided he doesn't like us old folks?

But, he is 40 something. So, to him, 64 is old.

Jumping back a few posts... I'm basically against putting anyone on my foe's list.

The reason is simple. Some of the people that I've wrangled with in the past, given a few weeks or months, often send me a conciliatory PM - or I send them a PM and usually an olive branch gets extended. It doesn't mean we have to agree on every issue or hang out at the coffee shop, however it certainly does mean that we have to respect each others identities. This is the way that things get worked out and strong bonds get built, it's also the way nations, cities and neighborhoods get built.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Im 31 and I do.t care if y'all are mostly older than me. Too many young people think they know it all... and tend to forget those older than them have been around awhile... and have accumulated knowledge.

I hear yah on the foe list. But if that's the case and a pm is sent, you'll still get that. Foe list only blocks forum posts from being displayed.

It is sad to lose people, especially once you get to know them (virtually or in-person). I understand taking a sabbatical, though, hopefully Cosmo will come back at some point.

A lot of us old folks used to know it all! And that accumulated knowledge - some of it just plain gets outdated, like knowing how to use Wordstar or program in Fortran or what the ASCII code is for a page feed!! (All of those probably predate you! I know Fortran does!) And what isn't outdated, gets forgotten! But thank you for recognizing and acknowledging what we older folks have learned and know a lot. I for one appreciate it. I just wish I could remember more of it!

And I also hate to see Cosmo leave. I didn't always agree with him, and sometimes he could be a little over the top, but he was interesting and helpful and added a lot to this forum.
