Post your pet pictures

Post by Nooblakahn » Sun Feb 17, 2013 7:53 am

Hey all,

A few of us had discussed this in chat on Saturday and it seemed like a good idea. Feel free to post your pet pictures and talk about your pets here.

Here is Percie, Our 5 year old Cairn Terrier.

Image

He's completely uncharacteristic of the breed, they are supposedly loaners and not lapdogs... he is very much a lapdog, and is quite the momma's boy.

Here is Diva, our short haired Border Collie.

Image

She is 10 year old and was a rescue from a shelter in Denver. My wife picked got her from the shelter before we had ever met. Very sweet smart dog, just wish she would calm down with the liking...

I'd love to be able to get a good picture of the two of them playing, Percie deffinitley has the fearless trait that is supposed to be common among his breed.

Edit: Here is one of the both of them..

Here's the latest addition to my zoo. Lilly...9 month old Bengal. Only got her 2 weeks ago. She is small (was the runt from what I was told). Also wasn't supposed to be a lap kitty but has spent hours in my husband's lap (won't stay in my lap ). She very vocal and hell on 4 paws. She doesn't care for the dogs yet. Sarge the pug dog...Toby the Border Terrier...and Lizzie the dog from hell who is a Beagle/Australian blue heeler mix. I don't have quick access to pictures Lizzie and Toby but I will see if I can get them to hold still for some new pictures.

Image

Here's a picture of Sarge. He's totally devoted to me. Follows me everywhere. He's terrified of the cat.

This is Hemmy (short for Hemingway). We named her that because she is polydactyl, like many of the cats at the Hemingway House in Key West. She'll be one year old in March and she owns me.

Image

This is Munchkin, so named because she's small. She is a month younger than Hemmy and they are inseparable. Munchkin owns my wife.

Now you are talking about my family!!
Image
This is Big Gus. A bit large for a Golden at 105 pounds, but thinks he should be a lap dog.
Image
This is Button because when we found her in the middle of the steet trying to get run over some one said she was "cute as a button" so it stuck.
Image
This is Mac, he is the old guy, 16 years old.
Image
This is Nuve, given to us by neighbor who did not want him any more. Name I was told is spanish for cloud.
Image
My only kitty "Reload" passed over the rainbow bridge a little over a year ago. He was 16 yers old and a diabetic like me. Haven't had the nearve to try and intergrate another kitty in with the pack. Reload rulled the house!!

World would be a dull place without them!!!!!!

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting: "Wow what a ride!"
I still play Cowboys and Bad Guys but now I use real bullets. CAS

Here's my zoo crew:

Jay Jay (Jumbo Jet). He snores. Ragdoll from a shelter, adopted 8 years ago.

Image

This is Quinn Quinn. Ragdoll. A poster with her (held by a model, not me) is hanging in Pet Smarts right now. She is also the kitty in my avatar.

Image

And Sassy Taz. She is also a Ragdoll.

Image

This is Traaay. He's from a shelter, and he thinks he is a cat. He doesn't play with balls, but he sure loves going after the feather toys for the cats. He is also a lap dog.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

My pets are my avatar. Actually Pumpkin (you can see which one he is), our boy, died 3 years ago with complications of diabetes. He was 12 when he left us. We still miss him and talk to him.

The other is Pepper. She is still very much with us, happy, healthy, very talkative and 15 years old now. She weighs just under 10 lbs, while Pumpkin weighed 23 lbs. They ate the same diet and the same amount all their lives. Pumpkin was a typical orange male tiger striped cat - Big!!

Pumpkin liked to spend time and have playtime with me, while Pepper prefers my husband.

They are our family.

Such cute kitties! Are they litter mates or just best buds? I love it when they nest together! I have an old photograph somewhere with 15 farm cats all curled up together on top of a resting dairy cow... It was very cold day and decided it was time to share body heat!

Pugsy... am I remembering correctly... isn't Sarge the doggie who makes your AHI mysteriously climb? He shares your mask or something... ?

Lost of cute pets here. No cats for us as my wife is allergic. Always thought the ragdolls were pretty. I used to have a Himalayan many years ago... that cat had an attitude... this picture of the ying and yang cats are too cute.

Sarge snores and when he sleeps up on my pillow with his chin on my neck or shoulder...my machine records a huge number of continuous snores. I suspect a combination of the sound and the vibrations that travel through the hose cause it.
When he is down by my knees (where his preferred resting spot is) I rarely have any snores.
Figure it out by accident one night when he started the night out on my shoulder and I had 2 hours of solid bar of snores.

They're actually my grandkitties. My son adopted them from a local shelter and though they're not litter mates we believe they're soul mates.
