My baby....Annie, not such a baby, she will be 5 in May. She is 3/4 maltese and 1/4 powder puff chinese crested. She is one spoiled little girl and that is the way I plan on keeping her!

Marz is hairless ... his brother Val is hairy hairless.

Lovin the many kitty pics here --- sorry, not a dog guy. This is my Bailey. (Not sure of any breed?) She'll be 13 in April. A petshop gift from a friend. Until just a couple years ago she traveled across the country with me - started when she was very little. Just the other day I caught a quick video of her snoring --- thinking she may need a kitty cat cpap!

LOL, I think our Carrin Terrier needs cpap. He snores while awake sometimes. My wife is alergic or we would have a cat or 2 with our dogs. Seriously contemplating ferrets.

Hi friends, I am a 14 years old Harrier Mix male. Last month I was operated for the removal of my anal sacks
b/c one sack was found to be cancerous. The cancer has not metastasized. I feel great and hope to live 2 1/2 more years.

See: Anal Gland Cancer in Dogs

http://www.vetsurgerycentral.com/anal_sac.htm

For all those who have dogs older than 10, please start saving for anal sacks removal.

For both male and female dogs.

Costs of checking the anal sacks for cancer = $500

If cancer was found, costs of X-rays and ultrasound to check if the CA spread = $400

Costs of Surgery plus recovery, one night at the Vet= $2,500

In addition:

There is also evidence that a triple approach, combining surgery, chemotherapy and

radiation therapy may result in the best outcomes, with survival times of approximately 2 1/2

years reported in preliminary studies. Radiation therapy is given in a series of daily

treatments, Monday through Friday, usually for 3-5 weeks. The cost for radiation therapy,

including anesthesia and hopspitalization, is usually $4,000-6,000. Please see the handout

VETERINARY RADIATION THERAPY for more detailed information about this treatment.

OK, here goes some of my family:

Here is Mr. Boots (Boots for short), a Maine Coon from a local rescue group, was found sitting on the median in the middle of a very busy road, he is 10 yrs old.
Image

Shayla, Tasha, BB & to the far right, Hobo. All are resuces.
Image

Bobbie Sue, dropped on the doorstep on a local rescue in a box. She is approx 10 yrs old, I got her from the box as a kitten.
Image

Our dogs, from right Patty (who has crossed the rainbow bridge), Flash & Satch - all rescues
Image

Hobo, rescued from 8 days in a tree, he was about 6 months old at the time, currently 4 years old.
Image

I'm stopping here, I have 10 cats total, and 2 of the 3 dogs pictured above (one not pictured).

All the dogs & cats are rescues, I have only once in my life gotten a dog 'on purpose', mostly animals come to us, some have come from a local shelter where I used to volunteer (they still call me with some of the worse cases & yes I adopt most they call about). My animals are my children, since I was not blessed with human children. As I type Boots is in front of the screen.

Hope you enjoy the pictures, I sure enjoyed looking at everyone's who posted so far,
Jen

@Jencat824 --- all beautiful but Hobo is stunning. Looks like Hobo and Bailey could be related
