Re: Post-Surgery Blues: Scoring Question
There have been sleep studies done with Provent. But as to answering the question of how well it works for you, you will only know if YOU do a sleep study with Provent.

Re: Post-Surgery Blues: Scoring Question
You need "diagnostic" Provents, to which a monitoring cannula can be connected. I would think any reasonably equipped sleep centatory could even do an HST with it.

He's paying tuition at Stanford, so I'm guessing he's in California.

OK, then running the SH fix for PST, we come up withSleepingUgly wrote:He's paying tuition at Stanford, so I'm guessing he's in California.

Establishing a desired Sleep Period in the red box based on the first night (although that TST is a little short and starts a little late) and highlighting bedtimes that are at or about 2 AM, the poor sleep hygiene is again noted.
Re: Post-Surgery Blues: Scoring Question
Actually, given the eating times and the food types (especially considering sodium content) his diet is even worse than his sleep hygiene:SleepingUgly wrote:I think I figured out your problem: too wide a variety of ethnic food! j/k

I suppose it would have been more delightful if we'd stuck you in a machine that made your apnea go away and turned you into a superhero that needs very little sleep and can get all A's at Stanford while working 80-100 hours a week.BrianinTN wrote:Well this was delightful.
P.S. If you find that machine, please save me a spot in it.

Re: Post-Surgery Blues: Scoring Question
Might I again recount how pleasurable it was to go to bed with only a couple of stickers on my nose?! If only it would have worked, I'd have gladly paid more than that.mollete wrote:...while costing less than 2 bucks per day.SleepingUgly wrote:I suppose it would have been more delightful if we'd stuck you in a machine that made your apnea go away and turned you into a superhero that needs very little sleep and can get all A's at Stanford while working 80-100 hours a week.BrianinTN wrote:Well this was delightful.
Brian, if you can afford a month's supply, why not try it for a month (or less) instead of calculating what it will cost for the rest of your life (an inherently flawed approach because if you knew you would die young, you'd consider it less financially draining and therefore worthwhile, whereas dying old makes it not worthwhile?!)? Just try one box and see if it is worth it or not worth it. If it's not worth it, you're out $60. If it's worth it, you'll be willing to pay more than that for it.
