There have been sleep studies done with Provent. But as to answering the question of how well it works for you, you will only know if YOU do a sleep study with Provent.

You need "diagnostic" Provents, to which a monitoring cannula can be connected. I would think any reasonably equipped sleep centatory could even do an HST with it.

But at home he'd just use regular Provent.

And plus, we're not talking
$7300 for the next decade
because there may be some significant changes seen in another month or two as the post-surgical CompSAS settles down.

Are you in California? The times look messed up.

Was bedtime 0130?

He's paying tuition at Stanford, so I'm guessing he's in California.

OK, then running the SH fix for PST, we come up with

Establishing a desired Sleep Period in the red box based on the first night (although that TST is a little short and starts a little late) and highlighting bedtimes that are at or about 2 AM, the poor sleep hygiene is again noted.

So in summary, there are certainly some opportunities for improvement available.

Good luck!

I suppose it would have been more delightful if we'd stuck you in a machine that made your apnea go away and turned you into a superhero that needs very little sleep and can get all A's at Stanford while working 80-100 hours a week.

P.S. If you find that machine, please save me a spot in it.

Might I again recount how pleasurable it was to go to bed with only a couple of stickers on my nose?! If only it would have worked, I'd have gladly paid more than that.

Brian, if you can afford a month's supply, why not try it for a month (or less) instead of calculating what it will cost for the rest of your life (an inherently flawed approach because if you knew you would die young, you'd consider it less financially draining and therefore worthwhile, whereas dying old makes it not worthwhile?!)? Just try one box and see if it is worth it or not worth it. If it's not worth it, you're out $60. If it's worth it, you'll be willing to pay more than that for it.
