I would love to hear from people that have successfully cured there OSA, Could you allso please include where you had it done?
PS: please don't leave and dumb ass comments about there is no cure or just get over it and use the mask! save your time aim looking for serious answer for people willing to help others, THANKS YOU..

Most of the cured have left the premises.

The only surgery that always works involves a hole in your throat, through which you breathe.
It is cosmetically unpalatable, and results in high infection susceptibility.

Aww, come on! I do think that surgical procedures cure some people, but I also hold the unpopular opinion that weight loss cures at least as many, if not more.chunkyfrog wrote:The only surgery that always works involves a hole in your throat, through which you breathe.

And besides, I am allergic to people who tell me what not to say, especially in a rude way.

How did you do that?????????????? Chunky Frog, you wrote, "They are dead." I quoted you saying that and responded, "Oh come on..." I get that you can change what you posted, but how did you change my quote of what you posted?!! Maybe you changed it exactly as I was quoting it and I didn't notice you'd changed it?! At least admit you said, "They are dead" so I won't have to worry that I'm losing what's left of my mind!!

I decided it was not a polite thing to say; so I changed it--I didn't know you were quoting me; but I had second thoughts-just after I hit "submit"--changed with no ill will toward you, and trying to be more fair.
The OP's rant kind of set me off. Sorry!

Yes, I said' "they are dead"
It was mean and as soon as I saw it, I realized it was a rotten thing to say.

Re: sucesfully cure?
If I had the surgery and no longer needed a cpap machine why in the world would I spend time here?
We wouldn't be here if we didn't use a cpap machine. The few people that have passed through here saying "I am off to have the surgery" we have never heard from again. Don't know how it went. I few people have come here and are back on the cpap machines and they don't have glowing reports either or they wouldn't be here would they?
It's a cpap forum...maybe somewhere out there there is a sleep apnea forum created by those that had the surgery but they aren't here. You won't find one positive response here but might get a few negatives if the few who have had surgery stop by. They are here because the surgery failed and they are back on the machine. I am sure that is not what you wanted to here.
You got snarky responses because you posed your question snarky.

Re: sucesfully cure?
I have known 2 people who had surgery to "cure" OSA. Both of them reported a return of the symptoms between 6 month to 1 year after surgery,
