Every time I read one of Lazer's posts...I also want to swat the bug. It looks so darn real.

I know how he did it though. He just linked his signature to a gif which is just a file that allows for animation.
All the smilies are gifs too. Lots of gif files out there to play with.
I have this one loaded in photobucket.

or how about this fly...it has a transparent background so if a little smaller could be mistaken for real.

I did "surface" again with my post earlier today. But since I missed reading a few of your replies I want to add to what I posted.

First, regarding age, yea, I am a ripe 72-don't know what ripe indicates but sounds nice. However, I have been carded once when I asked about a senior discount. Most put me in late 50-early 60 age range.

No spoof if I understand this word correctly. I am a native Texan and grew up hearing "you're pulling my leg" which probably is close to spoofing someone. I personally don't like 'game playing' (i.e. not being real) and don't write what I don't mean and believe.

I need to also say a few words in defense of my wife. Communication [don't want to wander far off topic which is for a different forum] has been a 'saddle burr under our saddle blankets' for a long time. I think what happened is this is as new to her as to me and because she did not understand my actions through the night with all the new stuff, she became scared and her communication of her fear sounded like non-support. She needs to work on this area as well as I do. Being very much Irish I talk freely about my feelings verbally and in writing. She is the opposite and struggles to exress what she is feeling. Interesting piece to all this is she needs to take the sleep apnea test also-she does not think she snores but she does and loudly.

Thanks again to all for your well stated, meaningful replies. So here's to better sleeping and breathing.
Phil

That was/is a test for...

1. To see IF you belong here?

2. To see IF your therapy is effective?

Let me guess now you are dreaming?

Does anyone remember a long time ago a member asked someone who had a moving avatar to kindly change it because he had a neurological problem and the movement could set something off in his brain? Don't know why I remembered that!

So no1texan... can you finally make up your mind?
Are you leaving or are you staying? That's not clear

Seriously... A WARM welcome back! Glad you took that sound decision (to stick to your therapy, besides staying here) and that we'll hopefully see you more often here

I remember, Dori. It was my Slinky on the steps gif. And prior to that someone in Chat, maybe the same person, had to ask someone w/a moving gif w/bright red in it to please remove it.

The one I really hated to see disappear, and I don't know the reason or remember why, was the guy w/the gif w/the Basset Hound in the convertible, ears flying in the breeze. I so loved that one!!!!

Altho I've never had a gif bother me I remember years ago hubby and I were out dancing all the time untll they started that "strobe light" thing or whatever kind of roaming colored lights were called around the dance floor all night long. Those lights confused me, affected my sense of balance, made me nauseous .....

Yea, I remember the person with the gif issue. I miss some of the ones like 6pt star unholstering his guns and putting them back, the dog's ears flapping, your slinky moving.

I am glad to see you back texan!

I had a similar problem. However my partner told me the machine is useless because my simptoms had not turned better.
And that's the sad truth.

Sorry about that. Let me know if it gets too annoying and I'll remove it. Was trying to give my bearded dragon something to look at!

Thanks lazer for distracting my attention away for a few minutes to a benign but important task of getting the bug off my monitor.

What a bunch we have here!! I don't think the bug will cause those types of problems. I believe it was just the bright flashing colors on the gifs we've mentioned as causing a problem.

And maybe the person or persons they did bother have achieved PAP therapy success and moved on and aren't habiting the forum anymore. Either way, please keep the bug unless someone does speak up that it does bother them.
