Does a reducing 90% avg pressure indicate an improving apnea

Usually the therapy works better if your minimum pressure is closer to your 90% pressure, in your case 9-10cms. So a minimum pressure of 8cm might be better, the max is probably OK at 14 should you need the extra pressure. A narrower range also helps with any leak issues.

That is an excellent point about the leaks. If Gary starts out at 4 his mask will likely not leak. If he really needs, for example, 10-14, after he falls asleep, has some apneas, machine ramps to somewhere between 10 and 14, then the mask may start leaking badly.

When I first started out the DME loaned me a machine set 4 - 20. I did not know any better at the time and had a disastrous three weeks with that machine.

My ahi has been running between 2,8 to 3.0, how would I go about narrowing the range of my pr sustem one apap?

Do you have the clinician/Provider manual? It tells you how to get into the clinical setup..there is where you can alter settings.

Your reported AHI is fine though. If you wish to alter pressure making a more narrow range...increase the minimum a bit. You may not gain much in improvement in AHI and again you might reduce them even further. No need to raise maximum unless you spend a lot of time at the maximum.

Alright, I've changed my minimum pressure to 8. We'll see if it makes a difference in AHI. I never had a leak problem before. Thanks for the help and suggestions.
