Hi guys,
I'm picking up an s9 (don't know the version yet) tomorrow and saw the link on unclebob's sig for ResScan 3.13 but I saw other posts indicating there's a 3.14 version and to change the number in his link from 3.13 to 3.14 to get 3.14. That didn't work for me and I was wondering if anyone knows of a revised link or otherwise to grab 3.14?
Also, I saw back in 2008, the latest version of this software was 3.7, any idea why ResMed went down in versioning?
Thanks so much!

Re: Help reading CPAP compliance report
Do not, under any circumstances, accept the S9 machine if it is an "Escape" or "Escape Auto" model. Do not even temporarily take it home. The Escape models do NOT record any useful data except the times you turn it on and off. The DME will lie to you and tell you it is data capable.noshow wrote:Hi guys,

If it says "Escape", run screaming from the room and try to escape.
Look next to the power button for "Escape, Escape Auto, Elite, or AutoSet."

Thanks for the info! What should I get then? What's the best Resmed (specific model) I should get? I also have the option of whatever the best Philips/respironics unit?archangle wrote:

Re: Help reading CPAP compliance report
The Elite or the AutoSet is the Resmed S9 you want. You really don't want a PR SystemOne anything. You get excellent therapy w/them, the Pro and Auto are fully data capable - BUT - the therapy data available via the LCD screen is very limited and the software (EncoreViewer patient version or EncorePro professional version), altho available, is no where near as good as Resmed's ResScan software.

Actually the PR S1 software options now are quite good. The data on the LED screen does suck.noshow wrote:

You can see examples here. SleepyHead will now also do ResMed machine reports.

I used link in UncleBob's signature a couple of weeks ago and I got 3.14 version. Though not a whole lot of difference between 3.13. and 3.14. Mainly ASV machine data which you won't need.
Full data ResMed machines..
ResMed S9 Elite
ResMed S9 AutoSet.
There is a Resmed Auto Escape..it offers AHI data..that is all. You don't want it for that reason
DMEs try to tell you that the machines are data capable because they have an SD card..technically correct but the Escape Resmed machines only gather hours of use data to satisfy insurance requirements.
Full data Respironics machines.
PR System One Pro with CFlex+
PR System One Auto CPAP with AFlex
Avoid the PR System One Plus with CFlex and the Auto IQ (it is a limited APAP machine..while it does collect full data it isn't APAP forever..only 30 days)
Avoid older models. S8 ResMed and M series Respironics.. They don't use SD cards for data and require either pricey or impossible to find card readers since they use smart cards to store data.

Re: Help reading CPAP compliance report
Thanks so much everyone! I ended up getting a ResMed S9 Autoset with the H5i Humidifier and ClimateLine Tubing. I also got a Quattro FX mask. I guess I'll update my signature etc.. shortly.
I've been using the Respironics M Series Auto CPAP with A-Flex for the last 5 years and it changed my life but it just crapped out and my Quattro Mirage broke at the same time so I needed something quick to replace each unit and I discovered this message board last night. I'm so excited to go to sleep tonight with the new stuff.
Anyhow, I don't know why unclebob's signature now gets 3.13 when many people have said it was just pulling down 3.14 a few days ago but I guess there aren't many differences.
Thanks so much for the assistance and archangle, I misread your post last night and didn't see you had already told me what RedMed to get and not to get, I thought it had originally read, basically look for these names including Elite and Autoset not just Escape (and then run).
