I've been an RN for 27 years and have done probably every kind of nursing except dialysis.

    You guys are a very interesting bunch, and your job descriptions confirm my idea that we have a lot of very smart people on here.

    I am disabled, but have a great volunteer job teaching english as a second language to adult immigrants. I had to give up a lot when I became disabled and spent a number of years doing nothing but trying to take care of myself. Which is boring and sad. But things have improved and I am now able to do what it takes to teach three students one-on-one. I am now doing exactly what I wanted to do in college. Lucky me!

    Not a damn thing since I retired!

    Well, except Astronomy presentations, woodturning, pool maintenance, annoying my bride, spoiling my granddaughter and offering unsolicited opinions to strangers.

    My next goal is to enjoy a cinnamon/sugar bagel in each and every Panera in the chain.

    Still drawing maps on the County computer.
    DH is working now (age:65)--doing custom tile work in marble and travertine.
    Quite a change from the nearly 4 years he spent caring for his mother in her home.
    Good son. His mother would apologize to me for taking him away;
    but I told her she raised him to do the right thing, and I was grateful to HER.
