So there are no hard feelings, let's rewind a bit. I posted the picture — deliberately without comment — so that the mood and mystery of the photo would remain undiluted. Then you posted this:

It would be helpful to know the location of the picture.

This is part of the problem of communicating on the internet. Without italics or a smiley face or even a "please" to help me discern your tone, I took it (wrongly?) for a snarky remark.

I was tempted to answer: "Yes, it would." and leave it like that. But then I figured why fight snark with snarkier, and decided you could handle a little playful chiding, while simultaneous getting the answer you were looking for.

Like I said, no hard feelings on my part, I hope you feel the same.

I thought others might have an interest where in Virginia. I thought you could (possibly) provide some details as to the location.

The image was emailed me to me by my wife. She got it from a friend of a Facebook friend. That's all she knows.

I must admit I prefer people who can say "I don't know" when they don't.

I've had to say "I don't know" so many times, that I've now shortened it down to that classic French shrug of the shoulder (combined with the forward-thrusting lower lip), and the Yiddish grunt of: "Nu?"

I now know you are as helpful as CL&P and AT&T.

NotMuffy Speak! I love it! (sotto voce) Shhhh . . . we have to careful or the whole board will end up communicating in increasing obscure acronyms, and anarchy will prevail.

No more P&Ming from both of us lest we offend the clucking FOLs who hold the true power on this board.

If so, a wise choice on Gumby's part...Better to light a soul-mate, than to curse the darkness, yes?

Have a great lady friend, met her on a net warez board 20 years ago. ..We've PMed, emailed, even spoken for hours on the phone, but we've never met in person. ..Neither of us are happy with our current weight, so we've joked that should we have an affair, it'll have to be at night. ..We'll enter a hotel room separately, the first one there to close the curtains, and turn out the lights. ..All sweet nothings conducted in pitch blackness, then we'll slink out separately, lights still out.
