Don't try and bring Mike home too early Dori........you will be the one in the hospital in no time, then where will Mike be without his best friend and best nurse. Let the doc make sure Mike is "ready" to be at home and that you can "really" cope with his care by yourself. Daily prayers are still being sent your way.

Quick update! I'm sick! Started with a sore throat and chills last night, seem to be getting a cold today. I guess I ran myself down, couldn't go to rehab today which upset me although I did speak to Mike a few times and he seems to be OK. They've scheduled a conference with us for tomorrow at 1PM to discuss the progress and discharge planning so I have to get well fast. Hope you're all doing well, I haven't had a chance to keep up with the latest news.

We should all be so lucky to have a caregiver like you, DoriC!

Take care of yourself....you need to come first, especially now.

Mike has good caregivers, even if the discharge doesn't go as quickly as planned while you get better!

Dori, you are truly an angel.
Just don't be in a rush to get those wings.

Dori,
Please take care of yourself now,I really hate that you are sick.
Someone told me when I was sitting up day and night to take care of my mom when was dying,
'think, who would take care of her if you weren't here'.
Dori, that really made me think and I found some help.
Sending lots of love and prayers your way.
GOD BLESS YOU both!

Oh Dori, I was worried this might happen. But it's understandable. Please take good care of yourself and feel better.

Well, shoot. Hate to hear you're not feeling well in the midst of all this. I'm just getting over something similar that I call "the creepin' crud" and it seems to be rampant in my neck of the woods. Hope you bounce back fast.
Kathy
