Encore Pro 2
Re: Encore Pro 2
You made a really good job explaining your discoveries on Encore Pro, thumbs up for you.
I wanted only to double check if my Encore Pro was working correct because it seemed a bit of non sense to me the fact that they don't give the MaP for a period of time greater than 7 days.
Excuse me I haven't notice you are using a Series M, my bad I tell you I still need a bit more of time on therapy
It was only out of curiosity my need to have the MaPs for a longer period, I will not go farther on making an old fashion chart although it could be interesting but it doesn't worth the energy because my numbers are good enough; there is nothing else I can do to improve my therapy I need only more time to pay my sleep debt.
Me too I check the charts etc only once a week or if I feel I had a bad night. If I eat something solid or hard to digest fast before going to bed, my time at the highest pressure is longer and the AHI is higher. It seems I make acid reflux which produce hypopneas (that's what told me the DR.) I check to try to find the correlation between my diet and the apneas/hypopneas and try to determine what I can or can eat before going to bed. I think my Dr was right on that.
Speaking about using Revo Uninstaller to uninstall a faulty or locked Encore Pro I think it's a very good idea. I already used Revo and I find it works Number One. I was thinking at the possibility to uninstall Encore Pro from my old computer (I forgot to open it and it got locked) but I don't have Encore Pro to reinstall it again, my link doesn't work since time ago. So I haven't done anything about it and I use only my laptop with Win 7 and now I try to open Encore Pro often even if it's only to forbid it to lock me out .

Just found this site. I am sure this will really help me tackle my Sleep Apnea. I too am looking for a link to the Encore program.

Re: Encore Pro 2
Encore 2.5 came out yesterday, am downloading it now. Will install this evening on my new PC to see what is different from 2.4.
From the download site:
This version of EncorePro includes several new features:
Redesigned the device prescription user interface.
Added the ability to assign unique identifiers to offices and users.
Added support for AutoSV 4 in the device prescription list.
Added new AutoSV therapy data calculation settings and notification options.
Added the ability to specify per patient compliance and therapy data calculation settings and notification options.

It takes a LONG time. I just walked through it with someone over the phone the other night and we almost thought the computer was froze up. Well over 45 minutes for her computer. We had all the worlds problems solved by the time it got done. Her computer was older though.. Even on my Vista 32 bit with loads of RAM and stuff, it took probably at least 15 minutes. It looks like it isn't doing a darn thing but it is....

Re: Encore Pro 2
I hope this hasn't been answered somewhere else, but how does the Encore 2 PRO differ from Encore Reader?

Re: Encore Pro 2
It may have been answered someplace else, but that doesn't mean the answer is easy to find. Only Encore Pro is available in a 64-bit version, for one, so that's the primary reason I started out using Pro.JIMCHI wrote:I hope this hasn't been answered somewhere else, but how does the Encore 2 PRO differ from Encore Reader?
More detailed reports on the data are available through the Pro version than through the Reader version. In a way I feel like the guy in "Spinal Tap" saying, "This one goes up to 11" because the Pro software can present data to me that I am not yet experienced enough to interpret.
From the Respironics website:
Compare:EncoreViewer: Features
* Patients can view and print reports that show therapy settings and patterns of use. EncoreViewer supports only Respironics sleep therapy devices (all CPAP / Auto- CPAP / BiPAP with SmartCard, all M Series systems with SmartCard, and BiPAP autoSV with SmartCard) - Respironics home noninvasive therapy devices are not supported by this software.
* No prescription is required for EncoreViewer.
* Required operating system is Windows XP or Windows Vista Home.
* EncoreViewer is available only in English.
EncoreViewer does not include the following functions and features:
* EncoreViewer does not provide the capability to alter or erase data on the SmartCard.
* EncoreViewer does not allow a patient to alter any device settings or prescriptions.
EncoreViewer only displays SmartCard data to the patient. A Help File is included that explains the parameters of each report. No interpretation of the data is presented.
Interpretation of sleep data should always be left to a physician or healthcare professional.
Does this help you at all?EncorePro 2: Features
A powerful software tool in a familiar and easy-to-use package.
* Handles patient files, develops patient reports and tracks overall treatment progress of patient populations.
* User-friendly and intuitive.
* Ability to manipulate and manage patient data.
* Expanded search capability.
* Standard usage reporting for individual patients (time at pressure, date of session, etc.) as well as compiled reports on patient populations within your organization. This feature allows you to compare patients based on insurance carrier, referring physician, mode of treatment and mask type. Such comparison can aid in discovering and refining the best treatment regimens for your patients.
* Patient homepage includes an individual's contact information and other pertinent data as well as a photo and a log of past patient interactions. In addition you can access therapy data, FOSQ scores and any past problems reported by the patient to give you a more complete picture of the patient's treatment history and office interactions. Future treatment may be improved by scheduling reminders to alert your organization's staff when it's time to replace a mask, schedule a home visit or take whatever action you find most helpful.
* Mask Replacement Report - Lists patients whose mask has expired or is set to expire with in the next 30 days.

Re: Encore Pro 2
Differences between EncoreViewer 2.0 and Encore Pro 2.xxx.
Mainly the added stuff for the doctor or DME. Manage different patients, keep equipment notes, pressure changes, etc.
For me with my M series machine. Absolutely no difference in the items that benefit me. The reports. They are the same with Viewer or Pro.
Now for PR System One users, there may be report differences. I cannot compare since I don't have that machine.
Something about Flow graphs has been mentioned. Some one with both versions might offer clarification to the Flow report differences, if any. The main daily detailed report is the same with both versions. Breakdown of events, pressure, leak, etc.
Encore Pro is can be more problematic. Lots more stuff that is clinic related to sort through. Encore Viewer is more easily managed for the technically challenged. But once a person navigates around in Pro it for just a little, it really is not difficult. Encore Pro is huge in terms of MB. Bulky in terms that it has so much stuff on it that we won't ever use. It is slow. But hey, the price is right. It is like any software, some people install easily and some people don't.
The SQL server part of the installation takes the longest. It will seem like the computer has froze up.
If someone wants to use Pro, I would suggest that they also burn a copy to disc just in case the software locks you out or simply goes bad. That way a backup of the setup files is handy. No way to know if the downloads will be there in 6 months.
