Encore Pro2 cannot read the new PR series, right?
Re: Encore Pro 2
No, Encore Pro 2 IS the software to use with the new PR System one machines. EncoreViewer 2.0 will also work with the PR machines.Midas wrote:Encore Pro2 cannot read the new PR series, right?
Encore Pro 2 will even work with my M series machine, though I don't have all the extra data that the PR machines offer.
The old Encore Pro 1.8 and EncoreViewer 1.0 do not work with the new PR machines.

Re: Encore Pro 2
I'd like an update on USE of Encore Pro 2 on a Vista and/or Win 7 computer. Can it be installed???
I'm workin' on it.
Re: Encore Pro 2
I have Encore Pro 2.4xx on this Vista 32 bit computer. No problems that weren't due to the installer. I didn't read the readmetext first and created my own problem. Uninstalled it, then tried to reinstall it but the uninstall wasn't clean and it kept telling me that it was already installed. Too lazy to go hunting in the registry and use CCleaner so I just did a custom install and made one minor change, installed fine and no problems since.Hose_Head wrote:I'd like an update on USE of Encore Pro 2 on a Vista and/or Win 7 computer. 64 bit has its own download now.

Re: Encore Pro 2
I'd be interested in the 64-bit, Windows 7 version. I think I have the 32-bit version, and it won't install on my machine.
Could somebody point me in the right direction?
Thanks.

Re: Encore Pro 2
Since some new people are trying Encore Pro 2 I thought I would add a couple of hints that took me some time to find.
The software defaults to GMT time zone. If you leave it that way the reports get split in half and look weird.
It is easy to change the time zone. Go to Company Settings tab. If no Edit button shown in lower left, double click on "Encore Company" shown in the line and it should open up to page where the EDIT button is shown. If you can't find it let me know and I will put up screen shot.
In Preference tab the default for reporting unintentional leak is found. I like it because it baselines at zero but if someone wants the Total leak shown this is easily changed.
Bear in mind that since Respironics machines and the software do not have any real provisions for subtracting the unintentional leak for masks, the numbers are really "close" but not exact. Best thing to do is look at the leak line itself for possible variations in leaks that might impact therapy. Besides a substantial leak for 30 minutes will not make much of an impact on the overall average but sure could make an impact on therapy. Take the average leak with a grain of salt. Look at the line for clarification.
Large Leaks have to be really, really huge to be reported so the Total Leak average shown on the LED screen of the PR System machines can be misleading if it reports a 0.0 average for total leak. Only way to know for sure about the leak is with the software. A person could have a leaks large enough to impact therapy and how we feel but not have it reported as Large Leak.
Remember the password. It is case sensitive. Don't mess up 3 times in a row. The software will lock up and the help files say to contact Respironics for another code to unlock. Obviously we can't do that....
There are Help files in the software but mostly geared to office personnel getting around in the software. Other than a Glossary of common acronyms, there is nothing there that will explain what individual reports might mean.
So it won't make a diagnosis.
When downloading data from your SD card, choose "download from device" not export as a few people have asked me about. Remember to uncheck the box for erasing the card before downloading unless you want to rely only on the software to maintain data.
The software will only show 7 days of daily detailed reports when you choose to view them. When viewing be sure to choose "detailed" or you will only get summary data. As time goes by and as each day passes the oldest will drop off the main therapy screen. There is a History tab where you can go and look at daily details of old downloads. So the old details are still available but in a different place.
Should you have a question about something you see on the daily details you can post the day in question here on the boards. Do the day in question daily details. Summary reports just give average numbers.
If you don't know how to do this below is how I do it.
How to insert image/report into post.
First you must have a photo hosting site. I use Photobucket. It is free. There are others.
Open the daily report that is in question. Make sure it is showing at 100% so it can easily be read. Take a snapshot / screen shot of the image. I use Vista so I have the snipping tool and I can crop and take the snapshot at the same time. Crop off excess screen shot if needed.
Save the image as a jpeg file.
Upload the image to the photo hosting site.
Copy the entire IMG address (be sure to included the brackets opening and closing with the IMG letters.
Paste into body of a post here.
Use the preview button to see if the image shows up.
If it doesn't try again.
Try to get the image showing instead of a link to the image. Sometimes the links to where ever the image is are just awfully slow to open.
Don't hesitate to ask questions if you run into trouble.
