Someone please help this Newbie!
Re: Someone please help this Newbie!
Your time using the machine is of course very limited each night. I don't know why you would have a couple good nights and all the rest pretty much out of sight. Very odd. I would have expected all to look like the bad ones and not have a few marginal and couple of good ones. Of course they have been too long ago to really remember if you did anything different or felt different.
I think during the data upload you have to choose "detailed data" from somewhere in the upload prompts/process.

now one more task, can you get me one night of detailed data?
The page that shows the graphs with the actual leak line and pressure line?
But I already see what I expected. The pressure isn't effective except on those nights that have short red bars. There were only 2 nights with AHI of 5 or so. Looks like the 10 and 11th.
Can you get me an example of one of those and one of your bad nights? Might not be able to get a good night to show since it is over 7 days old. For sure you can get individual night that was recent.
Odd that you had a couple of good nights though.....

Re: Someone please help this Newbie!
Are you using EPR and SmartStart?
I suggest turning both off. If you take the mask off and it keeps blowing, you are more likely to put it back on.
EPR interfered with my breathing and somehow caused more apreas.

Another possibility: the machine is not working.
They should be checked before they are delivered/sent out; but one might slip through.
This is why there is a warranty.

You can adjust that 5 hour tab on the lower window and stretch it out so you can see the breaths in the FLOW graph. 5 minutes is a good starting place. The blue lines in the top window act as placemarkers.

OMG, I think you now own the record for the worst report while getting treatment. Rather dubious honor I know.
Yes, agree with Liz, turn off EPR but I doubt that will make much of a dent but worth a try, or leave EPR on and reduce it to where you are comfortable. I can use 10 or 11 cm pressure without any exhale relief but everyone is different.
I assume no one from the doctor's office has communicated with you yet about what to do?
I can tell you what I would do if it were me. I would turn off EPR. If I felt like I had to have EPR on I would increase the pressure to allow for the EPR reduction. I probably would still increase my pressure to 12.. That is just me though, I was pretty fearless when I had issues early on in therapy and felt comfortable changing things. I am not a doctor and I didn't even sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
You really need the Autoset.
How in the world did you ever get any rest? If you can get this conquered you should feel like a new man..

Re: Someone please help this Newbie!
The resscan manual is in PDF format wherever your ResScan resides. It will help you clear the duplicate info off the screen. Don't mess with having it compile reports. Waste of time and paper and they don't come out as well as screenshots.
On the right hand side, just above the top graph window there is a little square icon that if you click on it, will let you remove some of the graphs from the top("navigation") window by unchecking them. Uncheck all but the "events". You will still be able to see them all in the "Detail window" on the bottom.

Re: Someone please help this Newbie!
You could uncheck the AHI and Pressure in both windows since they don't tell you anything you don't already know.

Thanks everyone for all of your help....
I think tonight i'm going to reduce the EPR to 2 or 1 and increase my pressure to 12 and see how everything goes...

Re: Someone please help this Newbie!
Good luck, Post back here tomorrow and update us.
I think you should email that screenshot to your Doc and your DME and see if your Doc will order you an Autoset. He/She should not want you arbitrarily adjusting your pressure.

Any thoughts on Chunky's comment? Could the machine be malfunctioning?
