OT Electronic Cigarettes.

Post by jazzer4 » Fri Jan 21, 2011 12:07 pm

I don't smoke, but these things sure are nice.
Just thought I would try it.
If I did smoke, this would be great. A good way to stop smoking I would think.
You put what they call Juice in them. The juice can have nicotine, or not...
There are different flavors of juice..clove, apple, cinnamon, about 50 choices.
If you wanted to stop smoking you could start with a low nicotine juice and then
go down to just a flavor.

There is a battery that you plug into a USP and charge on the computer, or a wall outlet plug is included.
Once you charge the battery, then it heats up the juice and makes vapor, which is the smoke.

No stinky smoke, no butts, no smell...just vapor. What will they come up with next.

It looks like kids are turning to these instead of cigarettes. That's a good thing.

I like mine. Now when people go outside to smoke I can join them with my electronic cigarette. Huh now they won't be able to talk about me on their smoke break.

Hey jazzer, Your good work would be converting people to E-cigs!

Would it not be wonderful if the tobacco industry would succumb to E-cigs!?

Tobacco smoke leaves a stench in clothes and hair!

I have always stayed a long way off from girls who smoke. Who wants to get in a mood for making love and then smell that stench in the girl's hair??!!

No one at my job smokes, it is actually against the rules to smoke anywhere near work as we work at a school, so it is for the best that none of us smoke. So we all just talk about each other in the laundry room.

I gave up smoking over 6 years ago, and I know that trigger is still in the brain ready to get me hooked again at the slightest opportunity - I won't be getting even close to an e-cig for fear of the nasty habit getting a hold of me again.

Yeah, but now the non-smokers inside can talk about you and your dorky E-smoke gizmo!!! j/k

(I would think one of the advantages of these things would be NOT having to go outside...)

They call it vaping.

Here are some quotes from vapers:
My fav part about vaping... people can't bum a smoke from me anymore
Anyone ever take second hand vape into consideration before they vape in public places. If the liquid is infused with nicotine when you blow it into the air you are exposing others around you to a highly addictive substance that has been know to cause side effects. People who vape in the work place might be doing even more damage by exposing the same people to nicotine day after day. I don't know if I like the idea of vaping in public. I've been thinking about the effects it might have on the kids. Nicotine is not a harmless substance...
I wouldn't worry about second-hand nicotine floating around. The amount that's exhaled is so minimal as to be almost non-existent.

Probably get a lot more nicotine from eating a potato/tomato. Should we stop eating those?
Most people around me when it is done inside love the smell. Either French Toast, Carmel Cream, Coffee Hazelnut. Specially they like the French Toast smell. There's no chemicals or tars being emitted in the water vapor so who is being hurt.
PGE's (which are the main ingriedient in e-juice) have been shown to cause an increased risk of asthma and allergies in children if inhaled. So I would not vape indoors with children around.
So have you also banned all paint, varnish, cleaning fluids, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, cosmetics and processed foods from your house? It seems like those would be a much bigger risk than the vapor from an e-cig. Are you aware that the fumes from a floor freshly mopped with Pine-Sol can be fatal to parrots? If it kills them, what do you think it's doing to you? Or your children?

There's a quote about motes and beams that seems appropriate here.
Anyone unfortunate enough to be stuck in a hospital bed for a few days; and fortunate enough to be allowed to vape while there?

Monday, the 24th I will undergo surgery to remove a tumor on my kidney, and probably be in the hospital until Thursday. I am planning on having my wife bring my PV to the room when I am out of recovery, and vaping at first "need" and opportunity.

Anyone else give this a try? What are the odds the nurses and doctors "allow" vaping? Of course I can stealth vape, but that is a pain and sometimes you get caught. Plus, having a battery charger and a couple AW 18650 batteries on it may be a give away.

The electronic cigarette and mini electronic cigarette are batter operated tools that vaporize the liquid nicotine in the cartridges using an atomizer. Once the liquid converted to vapor it then exhaled into an odorless cloud that vanishes shortly after. There are many different types and flavors of refill cartridges for electronic cigarettes. The are many flavors as well as different nicotine densities.

You forgot to mention the part about nicotine being extremely addictive and how the nicotine plays havoc with the nicotinic receptors in the brain causing a chemical dependence cycle that is hard to break once started. safer than tobacco?--possibly. But the juice is still made up of chemicals; most of them being synthetic.

Electric cigarette protects us being away from lung cancer or another illnesses trigger by utilizing cigarette. You'll be able to even place it anywhere you like simply because it can't bring about fir. Households in the smokers can now freely inhale a contemporary and clear air. Smokers are now totally free from any sorts of conditions. The Electric cigarette is really a good new option to smoking cigarettes gadget which can be providing smokers having a less hazardous substitute to tobacco tobacco. Once the smoker puffs to the electric cigarette, the battery sends an electrical demand on the atomizer that is certainly situated inside cartridge.

Just what I needed: Contemporary air. Old-fashioned air may have been good enough for daddy, but not me. Give me contemporary air.

I smoked for over 40 years and thought I would never be able to stop. I am now a non smoker. I mix my own juice and I am now down to 0 nicotine. I am now using a GGT Storm. It is a little pricey at first but is much cheaper to use in the long run. Mine has been used on a cruise ship and hospital in front of the doctors. I am happy to be a non smoker for sure.
