You are permitted no more than 300ml I believe in a plastic container in carry on OR checked baggage under IATA regs these days. You cannot even bring nail clippers across the border on an airplane. I have had no problems with my handguns and rifles, nor with my high power rockets (one an exact replica of an AMRAAM 4 missile) but they grabbed my nailclippers at the airport. Go figure. Guess I have licenses for the guns and rockets... no license for the nailclippers.TheDreamer wrote:Hmmm, you have me worried....I'm going up to Canada next week....and I've asked to distilled water waiting for me.
Wonder if I should try to see if a couple bottles will survive in my checked baggage....

You should not have an issue with distilled water; I buy mine at the drug store (Shoppers Drug Mart) and have yet to see any mineral deposits. Those mineral deposits can be readily removed with CLR by the way... and just plain old vinegar may work as well. I would NOT leave them on the heater plate as they may be vaporizing and getting blown into your lungs.
I wash my gear every weekend when I remember and wipe it all down with green wipes daily after use. So far so good. Last thing I wipe down with the wipe is the exterior of my gear to get the dust and oils off everything. More concerned about them nasty bacteria that put me in hospital on life support last summer for three weeks. And then some.
