How about filling out your equipment profile (text, not images) so members can see what you have.
That nose will probably continue to get worse. You either 1)have the mask adjusted too tightly or 2)are moving a lot and causing the mask to rub. You need to take care of this before a bad sore develops. Here are some suggestions

Keep the data card in the machine.

Way back near the beginning of this thread, Treehorn mentioned that luckily he has a US mailing address. Yes, that's good so you can have it delivered there and get it but Resmed being Resmed, if anything goes wrong with it, they won't support the warranty unless you claim from that US address. I truly wish I could find another mask that I can use other than the ResMed Quattro or I'd switch. I've tried others and they don't work for me.

I see this all the time and not just in this industry.
Auto industry, consumer electronics, and many more.
I think of them as gray area price fixing. Things like a dealer will not warranty a product because of where you bought it or if you didnt buy it from a "authorized dealer". Or how about threatening to take away a dealership agreement when they dont stick to the MSRP, that is blatent price fixing. These things are not good for the consumer and there was a time when these practices would be illegal.
Manufacturer should set their price to the distributor market and let the competitive market forces set the price to the consumer.

EVERYTHING cost this much more in Canada, not just medical equipment. I drive truck cross border and try to do most of my shopping in the US, it saves me about 60% on most of what i buy. One example is distilled water at walmart was costing me $0.83 in the US, and in canada is nearly $3. There are very few things up here that are cheaper.
For the price comparison my S8 Auto Elite II with swift FX humidifier and 12 filters i was charged $2200 CAD in Alberta. My insurance paid 80%, our free health care didnt pay for any of it.

ResMed requires all warranty returns to be made through a dealer. I had to ship my S8 AutoSet II back to cpap.com in Houston and they in turn sent it off to ResMed. So any returned items would not be coming from Canada as far as ResMed is concerned.
I don't know whether cpap.com is allowed to ship repaired/replaced ResMed units back to Canadian addresses. I suspect that they can, because they sold many units to Canadians before ResMed changed the rules.
