OT: we're moving (again)

Post by echo » Tue Sep 07, 2010 4:17 am

Just wanted to share that I will soon be a first time homeowner (amazing interest rate too!) and so we are now in the middle of the moving adventure. I won't have much access to internet for a few months since we will be staying with family and they don't have internet (ugh) while waiting for the house to become free.

This will be my cpap's 3rd home in the last 3 years so we have become experts in moving

Still waiting on my new job opportunity to become reality as well, so it's a bit disconcerting to have a mortgage and no job! But we found a great deal and had to take it. Any day now....

So in the meantime happy cpap'ing to everyone and hopefully a smooth 2 moves for us!

cheers

Hey! That's GREAT news! Congratulations, soon-to-be homeowner!

Well, I hope you two enjoy that new house at OUR expense... After all, WE'RE sacrificing by not hearing from you. Come back and tell us all about the house and all about the move. What the heck... To stay on topic you can even tell us about the "sleeping environment" and CPAP acoustics in your new abode!

Good luck, good luck, echo, echo! Hope you get a chance to post and say hello during the interim.

Congrats on the house and best wishes on the job front. Are you watching lots of HGTV or DIY Network getting ideas for the house, or is it move-in ready? I love those kinds of shows. Enjoy making it your very own in even more than deed.

Good luck with the move, E.

And don't forget to keep track of all your cpap equipment separate from all the rest of the boxes...

Thank you everyone for the good wishes !!

Kteague, it's half move-in ready... the couple was in the middle of renovations, then divorce. So still some things to be done. I like your idea We still need to "modernize" the upstairs, and maybe fix up the walls by removing wallpaper and painting downstairs. There is also a full attic to be done up, oh the possibilities Luckily my BF likes to do stuff like that, And I can help and learn if given the proper instructions I really like the idea of being able to do it up like WE like. And since it was a good deal, we will have $$ left over to do things.

-SWS, and on topic, my sleeping arrangements will be interesting next few months while in transit. No more hose management system (bungee cord from the ceiling ) but I will be sleeping on the floor so that still should be ok. BF will take the bed and I will take the mattress on the floor. After years of sleeping together in a queen size bed the double bed just doesn't cut it for us Maybe i will be able to sleep better without his snoring in my ear! Luckily his insurance is now ok and he has finally agreed to go to an ENT about the deviated septum and other issues!!!!

araminta, good tip! I have the spare all setup at our interim housing, and the normal setup will go with me too... as well as some more of the spare parts. Now let's hope I move the right boxes into the right places

Without the internet, I hope to have enough time to finish the two baby blankets I started last year! But I plan to check in here time to time, as other family members in the neighborhood are not living in the stone age and actually have internet.

ok, back to packing

Good Luck, Echo!

You still gonna be in "The Lowlands"?

If so, watch out for Hurricane Earl when it finally gets there!

NM, looks like it's going to miss you by about 3082 miles.

I'll miss you too.
