Are you the next Design Star?
jdm, if good ideas didn't have to be backed up with some degree of expertise I'd have a chance. LOL

Most public schools have WiFi; The range is at least a couple hundred feet.
Access is fairly good during school hours, and often beyond, but not the fastest.
Better than nothing; and totally FREE.
Expect some filtering.

Oh no, they would filter all my posts.

Best of luck, echo! On all of your new adventures! How exciting. Good luck!

Hey Echo...we'll miss ya! If the family members get difficult about your using their internet...find an internet cafe so you can check in and let us know how you're doing. Sleeping on the floor No way I'd be able to get up, even from a mattress Homeownership, great thing, and oh the interesting challenges that arise!

i now have 3 sources of internet: my sister-in-law's place, and two local flying clubs But we've been busy... bank & other house paperwork to prepare, random other stuff, & we're still working on cleaning up the rental house & moving out.

I have other good news though, I will be able to start my new job soon! Yay, income

The CPAP has been travelling back & forth with me, bless its little motor it's given me no problems yet

I may have convinced my father-in-law to get a sleep study... he has some sort of heart arrythmia and he snores a lot. Falls asleep anywhere, especialy in front of the tv, even during the day. We did an overnight pulse-ox on him, he never desat'd to below 90% but it was very erratic the whole night between 90 and 97%, but with "61% artifcts" according to the CMS 50 F. I wonder if he has limb movements? His pulse was all over the place, from 40 to 80 bpm. He scored a 12 on the Epworth questionnaire, and i printed out some OSA onfo for him to read. He is very keen to maintain good health so i think he will see his GP soon about this. I was considering loaning him my spare cpap and setting it up either at 7cm or 4-10cm apap plus the pulse ox, to see whether it makes a difference in the stability of the pulse ox readings. The mask will be the tough part though, his face is a bit larger than mine and i'm not sure my masks will fit him.

His girlfriend will also get pulse-oxed next week!

And my BF, well, i jave worn him down too I will send him to an ENT at our local hospital and he has agreed to go! He is just still so paranoid that they will screw up his nose even more. He is very highly sensitive to dust and doesn't want to make it worse.

So THAT was all on topic

And in other news, the hurricane in NY missed us too, also by about 3000 miles
We're still in the general lowlands area, yup, but near France now. Belgian food beats Dutch cuisine hands down no contest!
