If you are feeling pressure on your cheekbones then you probably have the mask just a bit too tight or sitting in the wrong place on your face. You may need to experiment with the tightness a bit. I have very slight marks each morning which disappear with an hour. I have the straps sitting just below my cheekbones so the very slight marks are just below my nose on my cheeks.
As for the little strap covers - I don't like them! I pull them right down to the pillows but they don't do much for preventing marks in my opinion and I certainly don't like the feel of the fabric. I think they are too thin to prevent face marks. I have ordered a set of pads from Padacheek, that are made for the Opus. They are not here yet but I will have them soon. If I cna't use them with the FX, I do have an Opus that I user once in a while.
I can't make any suggestions about the vent noise when a person moves in their sleep. I am a back sleeper (of necessity - arthritis pain in shoulders) so I sleep on my back.

Go to the resmed website and find the Swift FX mask, on the right hand side there will be a section titled Video, click on that and watch the 3 minute video.
It shows you the proper adjustment for the mask, It really does work!
As for the noise from the vent when your sheets/blanket get to close to it, I found if I tuck my sheet just under my chin or fold it under I don't get that problem.

dj: I agree with you watching the videos. You can see the exact desired position of the cheek straps. I don't think I have marks; at least no one has said anything and I might not be able to see them well enough myself. If I do, the marks are apparently a good match for the wrinkles! I don't really feel any pressure from the cheek straps although I can tell that they are there, just sitting on my skin. Any more might be too tight and that itself can cause leaks. It took me about a week to feel that true, "you're the one" connection with the thing! Who knows if it will last... I don't have much to compare this with re: noise (one month on cpap today). I can hear it if something is right in front of the vents but it's not enough to wake me up. In this case, a mild hearing loss I guess is a good thing! Give it some time and if it doesn't work out, there are plenty of fish (I mean masks) in the sea.

Re: ResMed Swift FX
Well Last night was night TWO with my Swift FX. I used the Medium size nasal pillows last night and I think they were not as comfortable as the small. I had leaks with the small and def. with the medium!!! Wonder if I should try the Large tonight? Hmmmmmm......I love the light weight head gear and the design. I just think I need to get that sweet spot that I have with my Swift LT for her--LOL!
Any stories about how you found the correct size?

Re: ResMed Swift FX
I started out using the Medium pillows with the Swift FX, as that was what I'd been using with my Swift LT. Some good nights, some bad, leakwise. I just switched to the large pillows, and while I don't have enough data yet to do a decent comparison, they "feel" like they leak less. Sometimes with the medium pillows, I could feel or hear a slight leakage, and I haven't had that experience yet with the large pillows, though it's only been 2 nights with them so far.

I went the other way. I use small on LT and ex-small on FX.

Oh wow--I did not get an Extra Small in my kit --I got 2 Large, 2 smalls and one medium. I might try the small again tonight --I think the large looks awfully BIG! LOL! I am really tired so if this doesn't work out tonight --I am going back to the Swift LT for the weekend!!! LOL! I need my sleep.
