I am going to receive my S9 soon, as I need EBW and yy current S8 does not have EBW in auto mode.
EBW reduces my hypopneas significantly (tried a S8 EBW for a month).

Is the S9 without humidifier (but including power adaptor) smaller than S8 without humidifier?

I understand the S9 uses smaller diameter hoses but standard hose connectors. Will the S9 work with standard hoses as well? When travelling by bicycle, I use a 20 feet hose (actually made for connecting a flow device with an external humdifier), as this is the least bulky hose available.

Where do I find the upgrade for ResScan?

Will ResScan work with any SD card reader?

No the S8 and S9 are almost similar sizes, S9 isn't quite as tall but is slightly wider/longer.

Yes, the connectors are the same diameter (industry standard I believe), it's just that the tubes are smaller. The one that connects from the H5i to the S9 though has a strange connector on it that needs to lock into place on the S9 so you cannot use a standard hose between the H5i or S9, but you can use a standard hose from the S9 direct, just not when you're using the H5i as it requires additional terminals to allow for the heated hose and sensors in the tube.

Just got my s9 today, tonite will be the 1st nite I have ever used a cpap w/the exception of torture nite at the clinic. I learned so much from this site that I want to say thanks to all! I am so much more informed and I too want to be more involved with my treatment analysis; can someone also help me with access to the software?

Thanks mcdove, not really helpful. If you think it's ok for people to dictate how your health should be monitored and not have access you information about it then that's fine, but some of us are interested in our own health and well being. It's information about our sleep, we have a right to that information, and also a right to keep it private if we wish from those you have mentioned, so if resmed aren't prepared to sell the software to us, I believe we have the right to find it elsewhere, we have already paid a shitload for the equipment already.
