Sorry so late to this thread but you said exactly what I was thinking...should something like that ever happen my old fat hairy body would be way more of a shock than my CPAP....

Re: CPAP and sex life
I just noticed this thread. What my wife and I do is: we cuddle every night before I put the mask on. If this leads to anything further (or if we have specifically planned something "further") - no problem; the mask isn't on yet. When all is said and done (as someone else said on this thread), THEN the mask goes on. The reverse in the morning: the mask comes off; then a kiss and hug either still in bed or after getting up, or whatever is your custom. However, your partner does need to have a sense of humor and not get turned off, even retroactively, when seeing you in the mask. Incidentally, some of the newer masks, especially the nasal-pillow type, are so minimal that they don't look that awful.
Re: CPAP and sex life
Two months after partner getting to grips with CPAP, we are both sleeping better and the libido clock has been turned back 15 years. It's a miracle cure.
Re: CPAP and sex life
I noticed this is a pretty old thread, but as a twenty-something that recently had to start using a CPAP machine (was not happy about that initially) my boyfriend has been super supportive of me throughout the process! I was very nervous that it might interfere (slightly) with our relationship. If anything, I'm probably getting even more cuddling! But as a lot of people mentioned, the mask doesn't go on until sleep time, sometimes followed with more cuddling, sleeping, waking up to more cuddling and then taking it off again when it's time.

I reckon there's a market for some sort of alarm system that you can use after sex, kinda like an egg timer that beeps when the time runs out. That way you could have a few mins in each others arms after sex and NOT fall completely asleep!!
asleep so fast after sex???
Re: CPAP and sex life
I leave my mask on and pretend I'm a fighter pilot, gets the wife going, lol.
Seriously, I typically go to bed after her so its rarely an issue of choosing sleep over sex and vice versa. The only time it really has every come up and was in no way an issue is with morning sex when she instigates. Then I just wake up, unmask and from there.
I have had a def uptick in the libido dept since being on a CPAP obviously from better sleep and just plain feeling better in general.
