Hey Jeff, I know you're going to get someone mad by calling them "A Jerk", but not me!!

As long as the people who consider themselves jerks are willing to ask questions when they need help, I'm happy. Would any of us in this forum who have never, ever, been a jerk to anyone our whole lives in any way please raise your hand right now? Anybody? Anybody? There. I think I've made my point. OMG -- how funny. In truth the cat is not about to sneeze, but was snickering. There was a caption under him that I removed because I didn't want anyone to get upset -- "Lord, if you can't wake me up thin, please wake my friends FAT." I just liked the way the kitty looked.

Well I really doubt that any newbie OSA patients ever get attacked for posting anything regarding CPAP treatment ... except when they come to post about things like "I'm gonn'a kill myself cuz I can't stand this mask anymore" or "I quit cuz I'm not feeling any better". But that is more of a tough love 2x4 bashing than an attack. The only other newbie that might get attacked are the dumb RTs that come here to preach their "you can't change CPAP pressures cuz it is illegal" crap.

If someone posts off topic, they can pretty much expect to have some with differing opinions post ... what do they expect?

Also what is rude to some is not for others just as what is humor to some is not for others. It is the internet people! Those who venture out on the internet need to learn that diversity rules. If an individual is offended because diversity will not conform to their standards, then they need to find a different social media to interact with like their family and/or friends.

Wow! Y'all have been BUSY while I was at work last night!

I was in a quandary about how to respond to the OP until I reached Mars analysis of the "offering". He nailed it. I've seen too many self-serving offers/apologies (some of which were later retracted) over the past several months. But that's all history and it appears the situation has now corrected itself. Assuming it lasts.

I tend to give back what I get, and it isn't always pretty. If any innocent bystanders were offended by MY words, I am sorry.

It is obvious to everyone who's read more than a few of each of your posts that you reside on differnent ends of the axis on many issues. For some inexplicable reason, both of you take personal umbrage with the other's posts. I for one wish both of you would just quit reacting to the other's posts as if it were personal...it's all just your own experience & opinions guys. I would miss the input if either one of you stopped posting...but please cutout the flaming, it makes both of you look like newbies caught up in the volatile mood swings & irrational cognition that sleep-deprivation creates in untreated apneics.

There was only the one time others thought I was being a jerk.....

But seriously, I don't remember* EVER feeling resentment or anger over any encounters here. Frustration, maybe...bordering on exasperation. But never "umbrage".
