I love my Wii. We bought it for the kids and I use it more than they do.

I have the Wii fit, wiifit plus, EA active sports, dance dance revolution, and Just Dance for workouts.

I love love love the yoga exercises...I start with that, do the kardioboxing, some of the balance games. I haven't tried the fit plus or EA Sports fitness one as I just got them.

What I do daily (or at minimum 5 days a week). I start with yoga to get warmed up, do some of the cardio boxing and stepping (I have the risers to bring the board up higher) and then I mix it up. Sometimes I'll put dance dance revolution into workout mode and just dance and make a fool out of myself in front of my tv for cardio, sometimes I'll do Just Dance (which is a riot and a great workout). If I'm Wii'd out I'll pop in a movie and move onto my treadmill, or lifecycle.

For strength training I've started on the bowflex.

I've lost 20lbs without changing my diet, in a little under a year. I shoot for 2lbs a month as an ideal goal. I could probably lose more if I were to diet but I eat pretty healthy via portion control (and I like my food). My goal is sustainable weight long term. I've always been able to maintain my weight at around 135-140lbs. The only time I was less than that was after I had each of the kids as I only gained about 10 lbs during pregnancy (in fact my last baby I lost 25lbs during the pregnancy...wierd...after he was born I was tiny, and he was my biggest baby...still wierd), even though that is about 20lbs more than my "ideal weight", but my ideal weight has never been sustainable for me. I'd rather be able to maintain a weight than fluctuate up and down. I've got 10 lbs to go...slow and steady. Now that my cpap treatment has me feeling so dang good I have the energy to get rid of that nasty 30lbs that appeared far too quickly prior to the apnea diagnosis.

Oh...I can also attest that your upper body and arms get a killer workout playing drums in Rockband!! LOL
These beautiful kids in my avi are my motivation for getting healthy and staying compliant. Need to be around a long time. See my new blog at http://creativekidscakeslife.blogspot.com/ Baking Blog http://feedingtheravenoushorde.blogspot.com

This whole Wii thing started for me because I wanted Dance Dance Revolution. I never could find it. I know it comes in all kinds of formats. So there is a DDR that's for the Wii? You just get it from Amazon or something? Or maybe I should just go all the way through the Wii Fit Plus first.

I don't hold the remote in my hand, as I have been known to sit in a chair and move the remote up and down and get really good scores.
Such a slug. Once I took a stack of books and put it on the board for the sitting still meditation thing. I was SURE that I was not moving; but the books got a really good score for sitting still, and I never have.

We had a rebounder ages ago...it's went to the trash! If you just want to shake up your insides...it'll work, not much else.

Now I remember why I got confused. Do I buy a disc and a dance pad?

If you buy the "bundle", it will include the disk and dance pad. They are sold separately because sometimes you might want to replace your pad, or you might have a pad from another game.

I started using the "freestep" in wii fit plus and channel surfing. If your not familiar...it is just basic step, it moves the sounds for rhythm to your wii-mote and keeps counting your steps while you watch tv. It will announce each 100 so you can switch your starting foot.
