Back when you were just starting out.

The baby avatar is probably from late 1946 but could be early 1947. Taken in Christchurch NZ. Just on 1 year old give or take a couple of months.

I only plan to leave it up for a couple of weeks. So let us see some of you other folk. If you don't have a baby pic, borrow one of one of your kids or grandkids, try to choose one that you think is close

Cheers

Okay...jumping in with a 6 year old birthday photo (yes, BLACK AND WHITE-there was no color film in 1963!!!). Notice the old dial phone on the right. Hey, I told you I wasn't young...

But as I grew...the cuteness left and I am now what I am (we won't go there). Thank you!

By the way, did you see the '60 decor?

Too cute! And you hardly changed facially except you look older. But you could tell it's you.

You asked for it! This one is from the scrapbook my mother kept for me. Taken May 1941.

BTW: I haven't posted anything current since the only pic I have less than 20+ years old is a DL photo. With a hologram over it no less.

Cliff,

It seems our parents of that era loved photographing us war/post war bubs au naturel.

I have several on my bother sister & I running around like that.

When about 4/5 my father used to also think it funny to pay us 1 shilling each (10 cents) to stand on a swarming anthill while he photographed us.

Great photo Grab, I have a grandson that it reminds me of.

What is so good about this photo is the reminders to us of what a frightening experience it could be to be taken to a big city department store bundled into a queue with other anxious kids then sat on the knee of a hairy red giant waaaaa

Tks for the memories
