The fabric is probably micro fiber. They can do amazing things with that. Like your Shamwow stuff. Micro fibre also has some antibacterial properties for some reason, cleaning clothes are used in hospitals for that reason. If I hadn't just last week bought my whole system I would definitely try this. With my flat face and receding chin trying to make that mask work is a pain plus my skin reacts to the plastic.

if the makers of this mask believe in it sooo much, they should either :

1. contact johnny and set up a challenge (let 30, 40, or 50 people give us their honest unbiased reviews)

-or-

2. start a free test drive like babs does for the nasal aire mask and have the end users post reviews here.

problem solved.

to me it looks to gimicky and overpriced. if it works for some, great, but it doesnt look like its for me.

Micro fiber, which is typically very small denier (<1) polyester, has no antibacterial properties. What you are probably thinking about is Microban which manufaturers of micro fiber sometimes add to their products during the production process.

Microban is a polymer that has antimicrobial properties. There is no indication that the Sleep Weaver mask uses the Microban technology.

Hello everyone. I have only been using the a cpap mask/machine for the last four weeks. The first two weeks used the resmed Mirage micro. I hated it felt panic attacks when putting on the mask the first few minutes till I would calm down. It would some times leak and leave marks on my face. Then I purchased the Resmed Swift II for her. I like it a lot better then the first mask. Especially since I am a side sleeper. I got to swap the Mirage Micro for the sleep weaver cloth Mask. Have been using the cloth masks for the last week and love it. No marks and can sleep even on my stomach. Note: I have seen the mask for $129.00 yesterday do not remember what site. I am sure if surf the internet you will find it. Hope this helps.

How did it cover your mouth? Did the chin stupport slid up? I had to tighten mine to prevent mine from sliding up to rest below my mouth. Just curious

Sounds like spam to me. I will only consider testimonials for the Sleep Weaver mask when they come from registered members with a track record of posts here. In fact, that rule goes for testimonials for any product.

I am new to posting and I did not know that I had to join. I was just trying to let people that it worked for me. So I apologize if I offended anyone.

It was no offense. It is just a question of credibility. All the member posts that I have read about this mask report it is a failure. So when a newbie makes their first post praising the mask, spam by the makers of the mask is immediately suspected (and still is even when an apology is given).

Based on what I have read about his mask, I certainly would not pay for one. Time will tell if my opinion changes.

If your posts are legitimate, I am happy that the mask works for you.

So far I still like the cloth mask the best overall. For me being a side sleeper. I do use the the swift lite sometimes. It does not cover your mouth. From what I have read in the future they will have one that covers the mouth. Easy to clean. Drys really fast. Since using the cloth mask no leaks for me.

OK, I'm going to revive this topice again.... It seems they have produced a newer model in 09, that appears much smaller than the first one. Looks like a much better fit for smaller faces, but I don't recall finding actual dimensions listed. I called them today, and asked about the guarantee... apparently, they are already creating the next model with improvements to come out sometime this fall/winter. Anyway, they said if I bought it and didn't fit, they would offer me a prototype that might take care of any fit issues I might have... as long as they still had any left. If not, of course, money back.

I tried the phantom gel mask, and loved the way it felt, but it only strapped on both sides. The top of the nose was where it leaked into my eyes. I had also tried the Simplicity nasal mask, which appears to me to have similar style headgear. That top center strap that went down between my eyes and attached to the top of the mask was the part that adjusted the leakage at the eyes.

That is why I think, this one might work. Also, for people who have mentioned the adjusting of the straps... I'm thinking if I got it set to something that worked, I might just tack in place so it would not lose its place. Has anyone out their tried their newer Advanced sleepweaver mask?

I do wish they had better coverage, so that you could at least go somewhere and see one, and maybe try it on....

Hey, Circadience... any chance of that? Oh, and by the way, I hereby volunteer to test any model or prototype. I currently wear a Mirage Micro medium which is the only mask I have found that won't leak. My mask issue is length from forehead to bottom of nose. Most mask frames are too large and either end up with pressure on my teeth or the forehead brace is up into my hairline.

Hello TX lady bug. I have been using the cloth mask since the middle of June. I have only been using CPAP since 28 May 2009. I tried the resmed micro and swift lite for her, and then the cloth. For me like the cloth the best. I contacted the company. I got and email in Aug asking if I wanted to try the new prototype. I said yes. Been on vacation for the last month. Found out they will be sending me the prototype to try out for three days. Should get it sometime next week. Also my husband will be going on a BiPAP this week so it should be interesting what Mask he will be using. At the sleep lab they only used the cloth mask on him. I was really surprised because they used the resmed micro on me. Was really surprised that this hospital in OK ( VEY SMALL TOWN)used the cloth one. I do not know if he was the first one to use it at this Lab or not. For my mom they used 5 different masks but not the cloth, she had her test before my husband and her test was in Aug. I will post on the prototype and compare the difference let you all know if it is better than the first mask etc.

Thanks. It will be interesting to see what changes they have in mind for the prototype. See if it's worth waiting for, or maybe go ahead and try one now. Why did you have trouble with the Resmed Mirage Micro?

Hello

I was breaking out/problems with leaking probably because I am a side sleeper. Also trouble with panic attacks when I first put the mask on. I had that problem till I could calm my self down. Since using the cloth mask I have not had any problems of breaking out/panic attacks. I have no trouble sleeping on my side. Do not have to use any special pillow etc. I do not have marks on my face. I really believe I would not be 100% compliance if it was not for the cloth mask. My doctor is very surprised that I am 100% compliant.

I have only been on my CPAP for 1 month. Have a Swift HT for Her. Works well sometimes! I srill have not noticed a change in how I feel.
I have tried a full face, could not handle~~tried the one that only covers the nose & it made the bridge of my nose sore & if I loosened it I had leaks.
If anyone would like to recycle a Sleep Weaver, I'd love to try it.
I can not afford the prices they have on them.
My DME says medicare will only pay for certain masks & then only one every 3 months.
Am hoping for the wonderful rest I have been told to expect & the energy that will come from this.
