A Question for Cat Owners

My Cat ...enormous Vibratory Snore index, so I feel pretty sure it picked up her snores

I would find it an honor to document my cat purrs on my software!!!! That would be hilarious........only unplanned documentation I have is the fequency of puking when I tried to be "compliant" during a very bad stomach insult.......I forever know how many trips to hug tidy bowl on Jan 4th for a total of 8 times in 3 hours and 54 minutes before I surrended for to noncompliance!!!!!

Thanks for all the responses. I guess I'll keep doing what I am doing and hope for the best.

I'm concerned about what to do come winter. I keep the bedroom pretty cool, and am worried about rainout. I was considering using a Repti-Heat cable to warm the hose (as discussed in this thread viewtopic/t27579/Cheap-heated-hose.html), but with part of the hose between the mattress and headboard (and under my pillow as well), I'm concerned about overheating.

So far, one of my cats has come up and nuzzled my face while I was wearing the mask.

Every time i hear it, it makes me shake my head in disbelief. I just can't imagine people letting their pets to sleep in bed with them. Just stop and think for once all the feces and urine they bring into the bed! YUCK!!!!!!

Sheesh. My pets don't sleep IN bed with me; they're ON the bed. When I'm awake, they're often ON me. I haven't caught any diseases from them, nor do I suffer any other consequences as a result of their close proximity. I enjoy it.

One of my cats is ultra-naughty and destroys everything not protected behind a closed door (with a doorknob...he can get through sliding doors just fine). When I brought my CPAP equipment home he immediately started scratching and biting at the hose...and manages to bite/scratch holes in 4 places within 20 minutes. I tried taping over the punctures with electrical tape, but it really didn't seal, so I had to get a replacement hose. I bought a ResMed hose cover to protect the hose. I would have rather have gotten a soft snuggly one, but I don't think they'd protect the hose as well. It's been approximately 2 months post-hose cover installation and he hasn't managed to puncture my replacement hose yet.

I recently tried the HoseBoss hose management system. Once I got it hooked up it took the cat about 15 seconds before he jumped on my head, grabbed the hose and started pulling, so I had to take it down.

Has anyone found their hose has become an impromptu cat toy, especially when it is hanging from a hose management system?

The only issue I have with any of the 3 cats is that one likes to slide up and sleep next to me during the night and invariably will park his fat butt right on the hose....doesn't impact the functionality, but it sure limits my ability to move around as I toss and turn......<knock wood> but none have ever "played" with it as a toy.....

I have one cat who was biting the hose, so I got a ResMed hose wrap thinking it would protect the hose better than a fleece wrap. Sure enough, it protects the hose, but now Boris loves biting the zipper ends! He loves to sit right in front of me, letting the exhaust blow in his face. Now my other cat, Ben, won't come near me when I'm wearing my mask, but he's much better behaved about grabbing and biting things than Boris is!

I've certainly had Guests that are dirtier than my cats.

But they don't make it to the bedroom.

And if you're that squeamish about "urine and feces" perhaps you shouldn't have pets .....as far as I know it's a natural bodily function.......

I know for a fact that you bring and leave more in that bed in 5 minutes than any pet does in 5 hours.

Guest, I can only question if you are the same person who was kat slamming on the asthma thread a few days ago. You have failed to follow my advice of "careful when you pick on a Woman's [Man's]and her/his Kats. That's dangerous territory. And if you find cat pickin' necessary, you can at least do so boldly by identifying yourself. Again if you must engage in Kat Ridicule, I think the least you can do, is have enough courage to identify yourself....I supposed cats might pose a threat to you because they are typically upfront and assertive about their behaviors.

Just be careful about not having contact with your mouth, your hands, a doorknob, a commercial jet, a hospital hallway, or a kat loving woman clawing your eyeballs out.............otherwise you might find yourself exposed to GERMS, yikes GERMS, those bad things that help your immune system to function well..........By all means don't sleep with cats or any other pet. But please be careful, you just might be sleeping with BED BUGS...(those buggies that live in your mattress and eat you skin flakes..........YIKES, how will you ever sleep again!!!!!! beg bug eatin skinflakes all around as you sleep....get out your Raid and magnifying glass before crawling into bed.., my skin now crawls.... I'll sleep with the cats!!!!!!

My guys are 9. They've never shown any interest in anything about my xPAP gear other than staying away from it. I think they object to the noise of the exhaust port.
