A Question for Cat Owners
Re: A Question for Cat Owners
Our puppy has demonsrated an interest in the hose -- but so far no tiny little teethmarks. I have a spare hose, just in case!

Re: A Question for Cat Owners
You obviously have never been around a baby! I guess you wouldn't want one of those around either - they have been know to literally paint eh room with IT. Cats are much cleaner.Every time i hear it, it makes me shake my head in disbelief. I just can't imagine people letting their pets to sleep in bed with them. Just stop and think for once all the feces and urine they bring into the bed! YUCK!!!!!!

Here is my trollish post:"Re: A Question for Cat Owners"
Does anyone ever really "own" a cat?
And if so, is there any evidence that the cat itself has any grasp at all of that concept?
Re: A Question for Cat Owners
i dont had a problem with it but it scared my cat the first night i used my machine

rather, I live with cats,
miniature predators whom I let sleep with me.
"Inside – they act as kittens:
supplicants at the food closet alter.
Outside – they are fearsome hunters:
quick, agile, silent, and deadly.
"At night, they steal my Soul and I cease to exist
until the alarm goes off in early morning darkness;
at which point, they return my Soul,
slightly chewed upon and slobbered over as if it had been catnip.
And I wonder, why my life – makes – no sense?"

Re: A Question for Cat Owners
I have a cat and a dog, neither one has ever bothered my machine, hose or mask.
In fact they both wake up my hubby and I if our mcahines do not sound right to them or if the electricity goes out.
We are both on concentrators and they will alert us to the alarms if we do not hear them.
Our animals have taken this action upon themselves without help from me orTom.

To each their own, indeed. When I had my cancer surgery, I had a 24" incision which was stapled so close I felt like a railroad track, or maybe a zipper. I was warned that it was not "If I had infection, it was how much." Well, although my fur children slept with me, I never did have infection.Guest wrote:Every time i hear it, it makes me shake my head in disbelief. And flatly, the urinary incontinence I've dealt with since the surgery makes more of a mess than my dachshunds do. THEY don't have to change pads and leak pads on a daily basis.

Re: A Question for Cat Owners
I am reminded of the old joke from where I'm from in Kentucky:
Visiting Doctor to Hog Farmer: "Tom, y'ain't s'pposed to let yer hogs run aroun' in yer house. It just ain't sanitary."
Tom: "Now Doc, I don't mean to tell you yer buisness, but I been raising hogs for pert near 30 years, and I ain't never seen one get sick from bein' let in the house yet."

Re: A Question for Cat Owners
I have two new kittens, and place my hoses and drying masks inside some old towels on the top of my dressser, which even my adult cats have never tried to climb. The higher shevles of bookcases in bedroom are another secure location.
Re: A Question for Cat Owners
My cat bit 3 small holes in a good tube. I did not find them until I was cleaning the tube and it started peeing all over me. Very tough to fix in a temporary fashion-tape won't work because it is a coil. a rubber band tied tightly against the holes did work. Good Luck.

Re: A Question for Cat Owners
The rubber bands is an interesting (temporary) solution. Maybe a dab of Super Glue would also work on a pinhole in a pinch? You'd have to give it adequate time to dry, and perhaps run the machine with the hose attached for awhile before masking up, to eliminate any fumes from the glue.) Just another random thought...wlbecker wrote:My cat bit 3 small holes in a good tube. I did not find them until I was cleaning the tube and it started peeing all over me.
