Re: My new oximeter
Did your 7500 meter come with the software and data cable for that 299.00 price?
Re: My new oximeter
Yes it came with software and cable. It seems to work quite well.

Re: My new oximeter
I ordered mine, hopefully will get FSA reimbursement if not insurance. I had been considering one but the price was keeping me away. At this price I figured what the heck, don't imagine they will be getting any cheaper.
Looking forward to it as I have not had any O2 numbers since my initial sleep studies. First time around I went as low as 66 or 68, second time it dipped into the 80's once or twice. Past few months my AHI has been holding steady around .8-1, but not feeling as rested as I have in the past, getting drowsy on the commute again so am curious what the data will tell me.
Would rather go into a Dr appointment with info to digest up front instead of making multiple trips to first get the data and then decide if changes are needed.

Re: My new oximeter
Looks like a good deal...I've been considering getting one, but I'm less than three weeks into this and thought I'd wait and see how things went...I understand O2 saturation and pulse rate are the first- and second-best ways to measure therapy's effectiveness, short of a sleep study.
Am I right about that?
Those that have them - has the data led to positive changes in therapy, or is more it more a way to confirm the basic data the machine records? Mine tracks usage, and then AHI and HI - which I suppose really are just the built-in ways to scream for oxygen, anyway.
Assuming most CPAPers don't have them - is it because they're unnecessary, or because they cost so much?
THANKS!

Re: My new oximeter
Jda.....
I'd say that most don't have oximeters...primarily because of the cost....and secondarily because.... an oximeter with software is just one more system to be learned.
O2 saturation and pulse rate data....is simply additional information that helps us cross-check and interpret the data we get from our CPAP machines.
O2 saturation is the bottom line.......but a recording oximeter won't give us all the info we need.
When we compare the printout we get from the oximeter....with the printout we get from the CPAP machine, we get a more complete picture.
I think most of us use the oximeter to confirm whether or not the "little tweaks and changes" we make to our CPAP equipment are effective...or not.
An oximeter is just another tool....another gauge we can use to confirm that we're "doing things right".

Re: My new oximeter
Well, just called the company to check status on my order and they sold out, so my order was canceled.
If anyone would like to sell theirs if buyer remorse sets in or has a used one they no longer need, I would be interested.

Re: My new oximeter
Unfortunately their price puts it out of my range. The $299 was a stretch since insurance is not likely to cover it, but no way I can do$450+ at this time.
Thanks though..

Re: My new oximeter
I have got one on order as well but haven't heards about a cancelation yet so we will see what happens there. This was on the edge of what I can spend as well so I hope it's on the way to me.
