Rest in Peace
Re: Rest in Peace
I am so sorry to hear of Snoredog's passing.
My condolences to the family. So sad.

Re: Rest in Peace
To John's daughters, Cristen & Ali and all the rest of his family, my condolences. It should be obvious to you from the posts here that John's participation in the forum touched many lives. His knowledge and his willingness to help others with questions will be missed by many here.

Getting old doesn't make you 'forgetful'. Having too damn many things to remember makes you 'forgetful'.

Re: Rest in Peace
What a shock! Snoredog, we hardly knew ye...
He was proud of his daughters, that is CERTAIN. He did mention you two from time to time. It is very thoughtful of you to have found your way here to report on his passing.
It certainly isn't fair for you to lose your father at such a young age. I am so very sorry. I hope that his last days were not hard ones for him.
That said, we shall certainly miss Snoredog here. He kept things hopping and surely was free with his opinions...whether or not they were popular. I must honestly say that I sometimes disagreed with him, and his methods of dealing with people, but he was very good and right on at other times. I know that he spent a lot of his time here on the forum; he must have found it a worthwhile endeavor. He came here to help others and contributed to the world in his own way by doing so.
I am sure that Snoredog would be surprised at how many of us are quite blown away. I have shed a tear or two in typing this, and hope that you, Cristen and Ali, will move past the grief eventually to find that have many good memories of times spent with your father. After all, time is the most precious of life's gifts, as it truly cannot be replaced.
Sincerely wishing you condolences, though still in shock,
Karen,
Who cannot believe she is OLDER than was Snoredog!

Ahh, snoredog, you old..............whatever.
Y'know, back in the early 2000's and before all the CPAP stuff, known as "dizzy" on the woodworking boards, snoredog used to do a lot of fine woodcrafting:

Aromatherapy may help CPAP compliance. Lavender, Mandarin, Chamomile, and Sweet Marjoram aid in relaxation and sleep. Nature's Gift has these and a blend of all four called SleepEase.

To Cristen and Ali,
I had been wondering at Snoredog's unusually long silence - he was such an active member of this forum. May you always be surrounded by loving family and friends, to support and comfort you in times of need - and to share happiness when that comes as well.

Re: Rest in Peace
To the family,
I am both stunned and saddened at this news. When I was new here in spring of 2006 Snoredog was so helpful to me. I was quite pitiful when I first found this site, and he sold me an autopap with software for a steal, and talked me thru understanding it. That was the beginning of my turnaround. Just last month he PM'd me with a link to a medical article he knew I'd be interested in due to my medical history. I will miss our resident watchdog. He was passionate about his positions, with a bark far worse than his bite. I will miss his input on this subject of OSA that is so personal to each of us.
My sincere condolences to the family in your loss.
Kathy

That entertainment center is GORGEOUS and will be a marvelously wonderful family heirloom!!! And only two days to make that wine cellar cabinet??? Mind boggling. Such a talent!! Thank you for sharing that, SAG.

Cristen & Ali,
I just saw this thread a little bit ago and feel like I've had the wind knocked out of me. I'm so sorry to hear about your father.
I hope you don't mind me posting this, but I decided to search Legacy.com to see if his obituary was listed.
I hope others will join me in signing the guest book.

I say goodbye to Snoredog with great sadness. He took time to comment on my progress and was a big help in making my cpap therapy work. This is a great loss to the forum. He will be missed and remembered. My sympathy and best wishes to all his family.

Cristen and Ali,
My sincerest condolences in the passing of your father. He set the tone of this forum and I will greatly miss him. The forum will continue to be successful but it will never be as good without him.
I owe much of the improvement in my health over the last three years to his pushing me to try some different things. I have watched as many others sought out and received his help.
I have a very old connection with a Dismuke in Livingston, CA and now wonder if there is a connection to John.
If you care to post or pm a link to your father's obituary it would be greatly appreciated. (Edit: Thanks to others for posting the link: http://www.legacy.com/ModestoBee/DeathN ... =121148494 )
