Rochester or Syracuse NY and medical equipment suppliers

Post by caffeine please » Mon Nov 24, 2008 4:00 pm

Hello. Does anyone have any advice about medical suppliers in Rochester/Syracuse NY region? I know the best advice is from people who have used a service or provider. I don't mind driving within reason. I live in Newark and work in Geneva and am often in Rochester anyway through my job.

I know there are both independent and nationally owned chains and have a listing of providers that are covered by my insurance (but there are about 15!!).

I am still sorting out all my options as this is all new to me. Thank-you.

Hi Cafeine,

I checked out CPAP XPRESS in the Syracuse area the other day (Milton Ave). They have all sorts of masks and machines in the store. They were very nice. Here are their store Locations

Just to clarify, garyland is for real and was indeed trying to be helpful as he always is on this forum.

The Guest however ... needs more than caffeine to please credibility issues for some in this forum crowd

At the risk of sounding like Pollyanna....

I get suspicious of guests just like everyone else, and I'd probably be suspicious of Caffeine Please had he/she specifically asked about CPAP EXPRESS. But that didn't happen. Since CP said he's/she's new to the forum, I vote we wait like, oh, I don't know, 15 minutes? before we start slamming him/her.

Caffeine Please, welcome to our extremely outspoken forum!! It really is a good place (kind of like the USA Network, where characters are welcome; you've already met some of ours ), and it really is full of positive, helpful people. Unfortunately, unidentified guests have turned out to be spammers all too often, and we do tend to jump to conclusions. If you are, in fact, a spammer, there's the door, and please don't slam it. If not, though, please stick around. There's MUCH information and support available here. It's best to register and fill out your profile, particularly the various elements of your equipment whenever you get it (use words, please, rather than the icons, which aren't easily identifiable; be specific). Whenever we have questions about problems we're having, the equipment details are the main thing needed by anyone who answers.

Gary -

I think you may have missed a previous thread where the caffeine's credability was found wanting.

No biggie ... I'm certain caffeine will be back in one form or another ... always does

I care, especially since it's usually done in a guise of wide-eyed "spam? what spam?" As The Dean knows very well, anyone who registered as a member of this forum agreed to abide by the User Agreement, and this is included in that agreement:

'Nuff said.

Hey everybody, I'm getting up a car-group for a road trip on up to thedean's store to pass out leaflets in his store telling all his would-be customers to (1) shop around all they want but (2) then go home and buy online from cpap.com, where the prices are great and they price-match! If he has a problem with it, we can tell him, oh, I don't know, maybe this: "WHO CARESSSSSSSSS if someone comes here to promote their business? WHO CARES???? Get a life and just ignore it if it offends you for whatever irrational reason." He might try to restrict our activities to the sidewalk outside, but I say turnabout is fair play. Any takers?!

Heck, we might as well make it a full sing-in, then! (Guitar? Check! Beads? Check! Markers and poster-board for anti-CPAP-Express posters? Check!) Spam-slinging brick-and-mortar DMEs are destroying the environment across these message-boards, I tell you!!!!

Sounds great! I'll see if I can dig out my braided leather headband (to be worn horizonally across the forehead, of course. )
