data from the Pro M

Post by Insomniyak » Wed Jul 09, 2008 9:43 am

Hi all
Just got my Pro M yesterday and I love it. I was trying to cycle through the data that was on it though and noticed I can only get a 7 day average and a 30 day average for the AHI. Last night was my first night using it and I got a little over 5 hrs of therapy on it. The averages for the AHI stil read '0' .

At what point in time should it start giving me an AHI reading? I would think it should already give me something even though it has not been 7 days yet.

I am ordering the card reader and I will go through the provider manual to see if I can figure it out, but if anyone has experience, your input would be helpful.

Thanks

It will pop up sometime later today. It never updates first thing in the morning.

Also, if you unplug for a few seconds and then plug back in, it will show the correct data (or at least mine does ).

Ahhhh OK, so it should show last night's data by the time I get home. I unplug it during the day because I don't like leaving anything in stand-by mode, partially with power going through it that is. Maybe I will spend my lunch break running home to see the data, LOL. NOT!!

Good to know. I still ordered the reader because I am a data geek anyhow.

OK, I just got off the phone w/DME, who called Respronics
tech support because I get no technical data in EncoreViewer.

They told her that this machine has no technical data capability.

WHAT......

I can not see any technical data on the LCD or the EV reports.

Does anyone have a clinical setup manual???? or instructions.

Thanks!!

What they are telling you is what I suspected all along. You need to post what model machine you have, so folks don't go spinning their wheels. I suspect your machine does not record the data you are looking for.

What is the make & model of your machine?

The Respironics PRO CPAP is data capable.

When you download the data from the card reader and select full report, it should give you quite a few pages of data to look at.

Clinical manuals are no longer available (Respironics threw a hissy fit), but you can do a google search on "setting pressure on CPAP" and get the information you need.

This is what I keep looking for.
I get no choice anywhere for details or full report.

All I get are the first 3 pages of usage info.
There should be two additional pages of technical info.

This is crazy.

If we all had the machine in the link below, technical data would not be necessary. If you slept crappy, you just turn up the pressure, sleep too much, turn it down a little. Simple as that, as Gumby says, "dial your pressure"

BTW the Pro M is a data capable machine. I am awaiting my card reader and I know there is a certain way to install and not certain that the drivers with the reader will work. I think EV has it's own drivers. What card reader do you have??[/img]

I got the EV/reader package.
It uses the drivers that load w/EV.
It down loads data from the card just fine.

Guess you need 'yak's wonderful DME -
1. I think I would be looking for another DME - Pronto.
If they don't know how the machine works, how could they possibly help you?

2. I don't know anything about the Viewer software but if it's like EP after the data download you will get this -
Image

IF you don't select "FULL Details" you get nothing but compliance data. Can any EV users confirm or deny this?

HTH,

My Gumby what a persnickety man you are. I would love for you to find us a DME that would freely volunteer information about how to access and/or change clinicians data or give us the tools to do so.

I never said my DME offered this info, I just said they went into the settings in front of me, they didn't hold my hand and walk me through it.

Your DME should be able to tell you this? If they are so good, Did you think to ask them or do you trust us more to tell you the truth?

Gumby I noticed the same thing, thought I'd let him bury himself. Really.
Talk about "a persnickety man"?? Really? Bet he'll have more questions, Really.
