I've got a spare pad so it is going to be a "Banana Split" tonight.

I also tried the Calm last night. Very impressed. I may be a bit biased though. Eucalyptus has always been a favorite scent. Sleepguy has a way with coming up with wonderful combinations.

I did a "banana split" with chocolate, vanilla, banana, cherry and a drop of peach. It may have been the peach which got me to "dreaming my A$$ off". I really had some wild images, nothing bad just active. I sleep with a CLII and a chin strap and I clearly remember needing to pull off the chin strap to release the mask and hose so they could fly away. Whew! Watch out for whatever that was. LOL Still loved the experience. This may replace Maui wowie!

Terry--I don't recall ever having dreams quite like that. I've got to try banana split tonight--I've got a few extra pads lying around....

I got a belly laugh from the guy who left PurSleep feedback on cpap.com--he said that his wife doesn't like Spice so when they get into a fight, he just loads up on it and sleeps away!

I'm also in the travel trial and received my kit Monday. I tried Peace the first night, the lavender scent reminded me of the soap and lotion my grandmother uses. Her house always had this faint hint of lavender to it. Once I figured out the right distance away from my air intake worked best for me, it was really lovely to sleep with. Over the past two nights I've tried the other two scents. First Spice, and then Clear. I liked both of them, but I can definitely see how Clear is a popular scent. It's fresh and cleansing. I had a stuffy nose and a headache last night and the scents really helped me relax so I could sleep more comfortably.

I'm definitely a convert to the PurSleep camp!

I used blueberry last night -- it was subtle and was very good. I had thought I wouldn't like it as I don't normally eat blueberries -- they just don't appeal to me. Yet the blueberry scent was great!!

This is so much fun!!!!

Another question:

I would like to add a new Basic Starter Pack to the lineup (Basic Starter Pack II) and wanted input on the three types of oils/fragrances to include. I've pretty much settled on including Calm for sure but am open to the other two. They could be from any of the other essential oils or fragrances under trial. I'm leaning towards Calm-Cherry-Vanilla or Calm-Strawberry-Vanilla. I think that would be a great combination for a new Basic SP.

Other thoughts?

I used chocolate again last night. I'd vote for that in the starter pack.

However, for a brand new user, I think you are on the right track with a scent like calm which is in the original group of fragrances and adding the fruity Cherry or Strawberry and the always great Vanilla.

Best regards,
TerryB

The most interesting thing I learned about Koalas visiting Oz is that they sleep over 20 hrs per day.

Yea baby . Go Calm!

Yep.. Sleep Guy definitely did it again!

My husband hates traveling with CPAP because some of the hotels emit a stinky odor and he cannot sleep.. almost like an old cigarette butt. Well, this morning he called me from San Francisco and said he had no trouble falling asleep at all.. thanks to Sleep Guy's Travel Trial!!! He used "Peace" and slept a good eight hours.

I am really looking forward to smelling the new fragrances... they sound wonderful, too!

Thanks again, Sleep Guy!

I appreciate all of the great feedback from this trial, including the Questionnaires I have received back via email. I need to make some final decisions about the new AirCandy lineup and have pretty well settled on the following six but would like to solicit any final opinions:

1. Dark Chocolate
2. French Vanilla
3. Bubble Gum (bananaberry relabeled)
4. Black Cherry
5. Strawberry
6. Peach

I have left out apple, blueberry, bubblegum, and some others that were circulated.

Some comments on my trial of the new AirCandy.

First, none of them were overly or sickenly sweet. Smelling from bottle you might think so, but on the pad they mellow out.

Second, I didn't get hunger pains trying to fall asleep .

The scents I requested in approximate order of preference:
  • - Black Cherry. True to it's name. Loved it.

    - Blueberry. True to it's name. Loved it.

    - Bubble Gum. Smells like the old Bazooka bubble gum.

    - Strawberry. True to it's name.

    - BananaBerry. Didn't like as much, but I am not partial to bananas. I see Sleepguy will rename this one to Bubble Gum. It does smell somewhat like bubble gum too. Not to be too exact about it, but it smells like the bubble gum they used to include in baseball card packs. If this one will be deemed "Bubble Gum", sort of wish it had more of the original Bubble Gum scent.

    - Peach. True to it's name.

    - Vanilla. Smells just like Vanilla extract. Reminds me of momma baking in the kitchen . Maybe a little too sweet for me though. I prefer Creme much better.
I didn't request Chocolate. But if it smells like Dark Chocolate as Sleepguy indicates with new name, I will defintely give it a try when available.

I know my preference list doesn’t align to Sleepguy's final six, but nobody's will .

The new essential oil Calm is very good and will be a welcome addition as well.

Look forward to the new AirCandy line.

Oh great, now even more choices before I go to bed .
