I am wanting to get a Topaz chin strap and try it out. For now I don't need it as I don't mouth breath but think your set up would work great for the summer -- if I don't come up with something different.

My hubby last night thought I was insane in my get-up. My modified headgear gave him a good laugh and then he made some snippish comments that I promptly ignored!!

Tell him "You should see how I look when you're NOT here!"

Or....

"My boyfriend doesn't mind."

LOL,

Good come backs Babs.

I figure I'll get my chance. He is waiting on his passport as his work is sending him to Africa -- I will get in my ribbing then!!!

He had to get his immunizations up to date and that has been done and I was able to get in a couple of good jabs then too.

He just called and asked me "why were you wearing a hat to bed?" I said it was for my mask -- don't you remember. He put in a 16 hour day yesterday and so doesn't remember much of last night he came in and pretty much went straight to bed.

I think old age is creeping up on him after all he is 54 and an old man.

Well I can't complain there since I am a grandma. Love those grandkids -- spoil them rotten and then send them home.

Wish I would have went straight to the grandkids first and bypassed my own kids -- oh wait that won't work will it?

I think all grandparents feel that way, which is why they spoil their grandkids.

I was an only child of an only child. My grandparents were PARTICULARLY old. And more than financially comfortable. Spoiled??? ME??

After they died, my Mom visited me for the first time in my own place as an adult. It was weird for both of us. She made the remark, "Well, I guess I'm Grandma now" and has been spoiling me rotten financially ever since.

She's a royal pain, but my college was fully paid for, and so was every car I've ever owned. I'm a lucky girl.

Cheers,

Babbette, we have an old NA one cannula. might not be your size, but if you can find someone to try it, i'll send it over. the prongs are stiffer, thats what I like . I have to warn you, the sizes do not match up with Na2

Their both wonderful masks. puts the swift to shame in my book. Nasal aire is the most under rated mask in sleep, by far. I was reading the comments on cpap.com wile looking for Na one and people seem to all love it. I dont think cpap.com has Na one and you cant get 3 size cannulas in the kit.

I think you're the only one on this forum using the NA1, though! I don't remember anyone else saying they were using it.

I'm so very happy with my setup right this second I don't want to mess with it all.

But thank you for your kind offer! You just hang on to it for an NAI user.

Huggers,
Babs

I don't know how I have managed to irritate my one nostril so bad that it is so swollen I can not get the nasal prong on the one side to go in. I woke up about 3:30 this a.m. with air blowing as I had somehow dislodged it. Don't know if I did something trying to reinsert it or what but after about an 1 hour I got up and saw that it was swollen and no matter what I tried it wasn't going to work. I figure tonight I will use a different mask and hopefully the swelling will go down by tomorrow night.

Right now I looks kind of funny one nostril is large while the other is noticeably smaller.

Sorry to hear you had trouble. I had one side that got a bit sore during the toughing up stage. A bit of Ayr gel a couple of times a day cleared it up. Had to be sure it was dry before I put the prongs back in or they leaked a little.

However, since it is swollen should be real tight, no leaks. I'm teasing of course.

Oh, by the way you really did not have to send me your cold temp. It went from 74 last night to 45 right now and the wind id blowing making it feel colder.

Hey Jerry -- I didn't want us to be having all the fun!!! I figured there was enough to go around.

Do you want some snow or freezing rain? Freezing rain is a lot more fun than snow so if you want that we could see what we come up with.

My nose hasn't been sore since I first started using the nasal pillows and didn't become really really sore but then I knew from this forum to use either lanolin or Ayr gel. I am wondering if in my half asleep condition this morning if I didn't just really irritate it with the repeated pushing and prodding (would I do that ) trying to reinsert it. It took a while for me to become fully awake and realize that it wasn't going all the way in and certainly wasn't going to stay. Since it was cold instead of getting up immediately, of course I laid there thinking I could "get it". It isn't terribly sore -- just swollen.

Oh did I mention next time we have freezing rain I could send it your way?

If you have problems in the future try pushing it in on one side and rolling it up. After inserting it should unroll, easy way and it doesn't hurt.

You can send me some snow for Christmas but then you will have to take it back!! Been a long time since I had White Christmas but as i remember it was highly over rated.

Will you send me your warmer temperatures? We could do a trade of sorts

You send us your warm weather when we have nasty weather and I will send you the snow?

Oh wait you said we would have to take the snow back? I am not an Indian giver (sorry if there are any Native Americans on board).
